Lie #5: Thorns In The Flesh

(From the 10 LIES OF RELIGIOUS CHRISTIANITY)

This is the lie that scares me a lot. The phase “thorns in the flesh” comes from the part of the Bible where Apostle Paul wrote where he said something with that name as shown below.

Religious churches use that to tell their members that sometimes God do bad things to them to show them his sufficient grace.

7To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
10That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (NIV)

Based on this passage alone without the full context of the entire message, the theologians concluded that God can give people a thorn in their flesh to keep them from becoming conceited and show them his sufficient grace.

What is the thorn of the flesh in the first place? Religious Christians will tell you that it is some sort of disease. They will use this part to fight against any teachings on healing. The irony here is, the last part of Verse 7 has already explained its meaning. The thorn of the flesh is actually a messenger of Satan.

Let me ask you this question. Do you want to know God’s sufficient grace? Unless you are a masochist, I am sure you will run away from this God. In fact this is what I have been doing when I was in my first church.

When I was in my first church, I was under such a heavy bondage that I could only see God as a pervert. Why? When you do bad, he will do bad things to you to punish you. However, when you do good, like the Apostle Paul, he can also give you bad things to you to show you his sufficient grace. This means God will make sure bad things will happen to you regardless of whether you are good or bad.

If this “truth” is revealed during the First Layer Gospel, I don’t think any one except the psychos will want to be Christians.

What is the common response of Religious Christians on this issue? They are proud of it. It is a status symbol among the Religious Christians to tell others that they are willing to go through sufferings in the name of sufficient grace. This is a crucial part that I cannot fit in. I can never accept a two-faced God. He was good before I became a Christian but turned evil after I became one. So, I concluded that I am better off if I have never believed in him.

Another favorite reference to justify a sadistic God is the book of Job. Religious churches like to use this book to fight for the right to have a sadistic God but they conveniently ignore its ending.

10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.
11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought upon him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.
12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.
13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters.
14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.
15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.
17 And so he died, old and full of years.
Job 42:12-17 (NIV)

You can never hear the above passage being preached in a religious church because it is too positive. Religious churches do not like positive endings.

In short, religious churches believe that the Christian life on earth must be a life of sufferings. We must live like the beginning and the middle part of the book of Job but we must never live like its end. Sufferings have become some sort of a status symbol in the religious churches. If you want to rise high in their eyes, you will have to make sure you suffer a lot.

The fifth clue to identify a religious church is they look upon sufferings as something to be proud of. They are the ultimate masochists.

Lie #4 Loopholes To Hell

(From the 10 LIES OF RELIGIOUS CHRISTIANITY)

If you can recall in Lie #1, the First Layer Gospel promises eternal life for everyone who believes. After you have confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you place in heaven is secured. A few weeks later, you will realize that this promise is only a marketing gimmick.

The religious pastors will tell you that you can still go to hell even after you have become a Christian. (By the way there is no provision in the Bible for us to “unsave” ourselves.) So, how can Christians go to hell? The religious pastors have created several ways for you to do that. I have summarize them into the following categories:
1. Reverse your confession.
2. Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.
3. Not behaving in accordance to the accepted standard.
4. Asking God for the wrong thing.

Let me explain in detail.

Reversal of your confession.
This means you say the opposite from what you have said when you were first saved. You do that by telling Jesus that you don’t want him, you reject him, tell him to get out of you life or any other words with similar meanings. You may say that consciously, in a fit of anger, when you are drunk or when you talk in your sleep. According to some churches, you will cease to be a Christian and you will go to hell.

Let us assume that the above doctrine is true. What will happen if you have rejected Jesus out of a fit of anger? The answer is to accept him back. Repeat the sinner’s prayers and you are saved again. In this scenario, one can move from heaven to hell and back to heaven again quite often, depending on how impetuous one is.

However, the real problem is what if you do not remember your rejection of Jesus. You may have rejected Jesus in your sleep or at a time when you were very busy. So, you end up going to hell without knowing it. The solution is to play safe by saying the sinner’s prayers every day.

This is the result of living as a religious Christian.

Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.
This is the most damming part. This doctrine is based on Jesus’ words in the Bible taken out of context.

28I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.
29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.”
Mark 3:28-29 (NIV)

The words in the above verses were specific for that time and place only. These words not repeated in other locations and time. However, religious pastors had made them applicable for everyone of us. If you blaspheme or say any bad things about the Holy Spirit, you will go to hell. No one can help you. This is a life of misery.

Who do you think will fall for this threat? The answer is, those who take it seriously. The harder you try not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, the more likely you will do it. Let me conduct an experiment here.

Think of the Holy Sprit. Recite the term “Holy Spirit” repeatedly in your mind. See next page.

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit

STUPID!!!

Ops! You have just called the Holy Spirit stupid. You are doomed to hell forever.

If you are terrified, be calm. You can never go to hell for any sins. The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a perversion of the Bible. If we can go to hell so easily, Satan will not be bothered to tempt us with so many sins. All he has to do is to repeat what I have done above.

Not behaving in accordance to the accepted standard.
This is the most popularly used in religious churches. Let me refer to Lie #1. In the First Layer Gospel, you were told that you are saved by faith alone. In the Second Layer Gospel, you will be told that faith without works is dead. This means the promise of faith alone in the First Layer Gospel is no longer applicable.

The next question is, what sort of works and how much of them? The answer is unlimited. It depends on how creative your pastors are. So, you will have an unending list of dos and don’ts to do. As I have mentioned in Lie #1, every church has different list. Certain acts like going to a cinema to watch a movie, can be acceptable in certain churches but is a sin in some others.

Failure to conform to the unwritten list may cause you to go to hell. If you happen to be in a very strict church, then you will have a higher chance to go there.

The most common standard is the requirement to confess your sins. Some churches believe that unconfessed sins can get you to hell. If that is so, you cannot afford to accumulate your sins daily to confess because you might forget some. Imagine a scenario where you committed 100 sins and you only confessed 99 of them. This one sin that you missed can get you to hell.

What is the solution then? You must confess the sins the moment you commit them. So, you entire waking hours are filled with confessions of sins. What a life!

There is also another twist to this rule. Some theologians came up with this idea that if you have truly believed in Jesus, you will have the desire to live the right way. This means you want to do what they tell you to do. If you don’t, then this means you have never really believed in Jesus. In this case, you have never been saved in the first place. Your destiny is hell.

Let me give you an illustration on what this means. Suppose I have the desire to pray now. This means I have truly believed in Jesus. I am saved. Five minutes later, I have no desire to pray. . This means I have not truly believed in Jesus. I am not saved. In another five minutes, I have the desire to pray again. So, I am saved again. My past keeps changing depending on my desire of the moment. Welcome to the life of religious Christianity.

Asking God for the wrong things.
This is what happened to me. I have a blog, which I write on trusting God for all our desires, including the desire for a lot of money. Many Religious Christians tried to write in to witness the truth to me because they want to save my soul. It seems that asking God to give me a lot of money will cause me to go to hell.

Conclusion
I don’t think I have to remind you that there is no Biblical basis on any of the above loopholes to hell. So, the forth clue to identify a religious church is after the First Layer Gospel stage, they will show you that the door of hell is open again for you.

Lie #3: The Sheep Must Feed The Shepherd

(From 10 LIES OF RELIGIOUS CHRISTIANITY)

The relationship between God and believers for Christians is modeled after the shepherd and the sheep as shown in the verse below:

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Psalm 23:1 (NIV)

The same model is also used to describe the relationship between church leaders and members of the church. Many churches use the title “pastor” on their leaders. This term has the same meaning of shepherd. If you are a member of a church, your pastor is your shepherd and you are his flock.

Let me begin by explaining the relationship between the shepherd and flock of sheep in the Bible. Please note that this relationship is based on the actual Hebrew shepherds. They did not ride on horses nor did they used any sheep dogs to help them. The shepherd walked in front and his flock of sheep followed him. It is therefore right to say that the shepherd leads his sheep.

However, this does not mean the shepherd is the master of his flock. In fact, the flock is the real masters and the shepherd is their servant. A shepherd can either be an employee of the sheep owner, the owner himself or a combination of both. I am going to explain to you that, no matter which category the shepherd falls in, make no difference to the truth that he is a servant to his sheep.

Suppose the shepherd is an employee. He is paid to care for the sheep. His responsibility is to ensure that the sheep under his care must never starve, never thirst, always healthy and always safe. If he fails in any of the above, he will risk his job. So, every shepherd who wants to keep his job must take good care of his sheep as though they are his masters.

What if the shepherd and the owner are the same person? In this case, the sheep are his assets. If any of his sheep loses weight, sick or harmed, the shepherd/owner gets poorer. So, in order to protect his net worth, the shepherd/owner must also take good care of his sheep as though they are his masters.

Let us move on to the role of the sheep. The sheep only have 2 things to do: follow the shepherd and enjoy life. Unlike their western counterparts, there were no dogs to force the sheep to go to the right way. All sheep must follow the shepherd willingly and that is the only responsibility they have. Their shepherd will take care of all their needs.

Not only that, sheep do not have to reciprocate the same favor or services to their shepherd. Let me put it this way. While the shepherd has the responsibility to care for the sheep, the sheep in turn are not obligated to do the same to the shepherd. This means the sheep do not have the obligation to feed the shepherd when he is hungry nor protect him when he is in danger. I don’t think you can ever hear this truth being preached in any religious church.

Let us now consider how this principle applies to God and us. The Lord is my shepherd. Using the same model, we can conclude that the Lord must care for all our needs as though we are his masters. It is the Lord’s responsibility to ensure that we always have enough to eat, drink and protected from all harms. We don’t have to chase after prosperity because it is a part of the Lord’s responsibility to us as our shepherd.

Our role as his sheep, is to follow him and enjoy life. Using the same model again, we are not obligated to return the favor. We don’t have to bother whether the Lord has enough to eat nor should we try to protect him from any danger. He knows how to take care of himself.

This basically sums up what Christian life is supposed to be. Follow the Lord and enjoy life.

Next, we move on to the church. The same model applies to the church. The pastor is the shepherd to his church members. They are his flocks. It is the pastor’s responsibility to ensure that his flock shall never be hungry, thirsty or harmed in any way. This is his responsibility as their shepherd. If he fails in his job, he will have to answer to the sheep’s owner, God.

At the same time, church members only have to do the same things the sheep do, follow the shepherd and enjoy life. Like the real sheep, church members are not obligate to feed or protect their pastors. In other words, pastors have no right to demand money from their church members.

Is this principle being practiced in the religious churches? The answer is no. In fact they are doing the opposite. Religious pastors often see their church members as their source of money and free labor for them to exploit. If you have been attending religious churches often enough, you will hear the pastors demanding money or services from their members. They must be thinking that the more they exploit their members, the more points they will score in heaven.

In Lie #1, I have described how the pastors in my first church had shamelessly squeeze money from the church members to finance their building project. Even after they got the money, they did not stop. One church leader had even went up to the pulpit to tell us that if we continue to hold back (meaning not giving more money to the church), the church staff will have to forgo their annual bonus. So, it is our responsibility as church members to give more money to the church so that the pastors can have their annual bonus. Who are the blood-suckers here?

Therefore the third clue to identify a religious church is the pastors exploit the church members for money and labor.

Lie #2: Theology

(Authors note: I am planning to write an ebook entitled “The 10 Lies Of Religious Christianity”. In this book, I plan to allow free viewing of the introduction and the first 2 chapters. I have completed the draft for the second chapter posted below. I welcome suggestions on improvements.)

One of the main characteristics of religious churches is their obsession with theology. The religious minds, theology is another word for spiritual truth. Theology is always right and can never be wrong. The words of theologians are no different from the words of God. Theology is so important to them that the highest rank in religious churches must be theologically trained.

What exactly is theology? The dictionary defines it this way:

–noun, plural -gies.
1. the field of study and analysis that treats of God and of God’s attributes and relations to the universe; study of divine things or religious truth; divinity.
2. a particular form, system, branch, or course of this study.

Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/theology

Based on the definition from the dictionary, it sounds harmless but I am going to show you the unpleasant reality of this field. Read the definition again. It says theology is a field of study and analysis. Does this make theologians a type of researchers, scholars or scientists?

Let me explain this by comparing the difference between scientists and theologians. Scientists are people who have deep interest in the laws of nature. They work hard in their chosen field. They are dedicated and passionate on their pet theories. It is not uncommon for scientists working in the same institution debating each other passionately over their preferred theories and after that they can meet each other for coffee. Scientists do not face the risk of losing their jobs based on whether they support or reject certain theories.

Theologians are the opposite. Theologians in the same institutions, usually seminaries must obey the same doctrines that are determined by their employer. For example, if you are a theologian working in a institution funded by traditional churches, you must obey the traditional doctrines. If the institution is charismatic, then all its theologians in it must also be charismatic. Any theologian who does not obey the approved doctrines of his employer will lose his job.

Like the scientists, theologians like to debate. However, the difference is the theologians will sink to any level to degrade their opponents. All theologians think that only their theology is true and every one who does not agree with them is of the devil. They are very intolerant to different opinions.

In comparison, scientists have open minds but theologians have closed minds. Equating theologians with scientists is an insult to all scientists.

In addition, theology has zero practical use. Modern science can be trace back to a man named Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) who is known as the father of modern science. He was killed by the theologians under the charge of heresy. According to theology, science in heresy.

When Galileo began his scientific works, science was practically unknown and theology was firmly established. So, theology has the advantage of early head-start compared to science. Let us look at the world today.

Through the early works of Galileo Galilei, we have advanced to the level that seems magical to the ancient people. Human beings have set their foot on the moon. We can fly faster than the speed of sound. We have ships that are as large as ancient towns. We can communicate easily through satellites. We have discovered cures for diseases that were once incurable and many other breakthroughs that were once unbelievable. Science has propelled us to a far greater level than before.

Since theology has a better head-start than science, it should achieve at least the same if not better than science right? The answer is no. Theology has achieved nothing apart from some holy wars that involved murders, rapes, plunders, tortures and other violations of human rights. Theology has no practical use. This means all theologians are nothing more than parasites to our civilization. I am not going to compare theologians with prostitutes because even prostitutes have some contributions. Therefore, it is not a surprise that the field of theology can only attract the good-for-nothings who are only interested in getting paid for doing nothing constructive.

So far, I have explained to practical reality of theology. Let me proceed on the subject on morality. Do theologians have morals? Let me begin by quoting Jesus opinion on theologians from the Bible.

13″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

15″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

16″Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’

17You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

18You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’

19You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

20Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.

21And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.

22And he who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

23″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

24You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

25″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

26Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.

28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

29″Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.

30And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

31So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

32Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!

33″You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

34Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.

35And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

36I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.

Matthew 23:13-36 (NIV)

The term “Pharisees” and “teachers of the law” were used on theologians in Jesus’ time. It seems that unlike the religious churches, Jesus did not have a very high opinion on the theologians. The Bible has made it clear that God and theologians are at the opposite ends of the holiness spectrum. You can only choose one of the two. If you choose to worship God, you have to reject theology and vice versa. The Bible has made it clear that theologians are heretics.

What does this tells us about the religious churches that are led by preachers that are theologically trained? They have rejected Jesus in their churches. This is the truth that they are trying very hard to hide.

Wait, some may say. Those are Non Christian theologians. Christian theologians are different. Is that so? Let us dig up some historical records to see how good Christian theologians were.

Theologians created the Inquisition and Crusaders.

Pope Innocent III believed that Bible believing dissidents were worse than infidels (Saracens, Moslems, and Turks), for they threatened the unity of … Europe. So Innocent III sponsored 4 “crusades” to exterminate the Albigenses. Innocent (what a name!) called upon Louis VII to do his killing for him, and he also enjoined Raymond VI to assist him.

The Cistercian order of Catholic monks were then commissioned to preach all over France, Flanders, and Germany for the purpose of raising an army sufficient to kill the Bible believers. All who volunteered to take part in these mass murders were promised that they would receive the same reward as those who had sallied forth against the Moslems (i.e., forgiveness of sins and eternal life).

The Albigenses were referred to in Pope Innocent’s Sunday morning messages as “servants of the old serpent”. Innocent promised the killers a heavenly kingdom if they took up their swords against unarmed populaces.

In July of 1209 A.D. an army of orthodox Catholics attacked Beziers and murdered 60,000 unarmed civilians, killing men, women, and children. The whole city was sacked, and when someone complained that Catholics were being killed as well as “heretics”, the papal legates told them to go on killing and not to worry about it for “the Lord knows His own.”

At Minerve, 14,000 Christians were put to death in the flames, and ears, noses, and lips of the “heretics” were cut off by the “faithful.”

Source: http://www.mtc.org/inquis.html

The Inquisitors are the equivalent of religious police, the ancient version of Talibans. The only exception is the Talibans and the al-Qaeda members will look like doves compared to the Inquisitors and Crusaders. Do the theologians have any morals? History can tell us what happened when theologians were in control. We can expect inquisitions and crusades to terrorize us if we allow the theologians to have power over us.

Some theologians in the Protestant camp will want to push all these sins to the Catholics but the truth is the Protestant theologians are no different from their Catholic counterparts. In the Thirty Years’ War (1618–1648), Protestant and Catholic warlords were killing each other on behalf of their theologians. The real victims were the ordinary people who just wanted to live in peace. Protestant theologians were in no way more merciful.

All the realities around us, the Bible and history tells us very clearly that all the theologians regardless of denominations are evil. The moment they get into power, there will be chaos.

Today, the theologians seemed peaceful only because they have no power. Let us keep them this way. Of course, I prefer them to repent from theology and do some real work for a change.

In conclusion, I have proven conclusively that theology is pure evil. Why do religious churches prostitute themselves to it? It is very clear that religious churches are a part of the theology. So, the second clue to identify a religious church is it in infested with theologically trained preachers.

Lie #1: Evangelism

(Authors note: I am planning to write an ebook entitled “The 10 Lies Of Religious Christianity”. In this book, I plan to allow free viewing of the introduction and the first 2 chapters. I have completed the draft for the first chapter posted below. I welcome suggestions on improvements.)

I shall start with the most obvious lie of the religious churches, evangelism. It also goes by other names like missions, witnessing and sharing the good news. Regardless of the names used, the objective is the same. It aims to get others to believe in the same doctrines and subsequently become the churches’ supply of free labor and money contributors.

Why is this a lie? In order to make it easy to understand, let me give you an analogy.

Imagine one day you have a job offer. The job description is the same as what you have been doing all these years. So, you are well qualified to do it. The best part is the salary is more than 10 times of what you are receiving now in your current job.

Will you take up the offer? Of course you will. Only a fool will reject such a great opportunity. You pick up the employment contract and read the terms. They were written exactly as what you have been told. So, you signed on the dotted line to take up the offer.

Congratulations. You are now an employee of such a wonderful company. One the first day of your new job, you were sent to attend classes for orientation. In those classes, you will get to know the company and its policy. You will also be taught on company loyalty.

Then the company begins to assign tasks to you. Those tasks are different from what you should be doing as stated in your employment contract. However, it is not an issue because you are not that petty. You move along because you don’t want to give the impression that you are a difficult person to work with.

As days turn to weeks, you have practically forgotten about the contents of the employment contract you signed. When payday comes, you receive lesser pay than the amount you were promised. Your boss told you that you should be grateful that the company pays you at all and don’t be so fussy about it. After all, it is only money. As a loyal employee, your priority should be the company’s profits and not your own salary.

You end up doing more work than what the contract says and getting lesser pay than the amount promised in the contract. One day, you suddenly wake up and realized that you have been conned.

Does this analogy sounds extreme? The truth is, it happens in every religious church. All religious churches have 2 separate gospels for 2 groups of people. They have one version for Non-Christians and another one for Christians. I prefer to call this phenomenon as Multiple Layers Gospel. Altogether there are 3 layers of Gospel. I shall explain in detail.

First Layer Gospel
This layer is meant for evangelistic purpose only. It is only proclaimed in evangelistic settings and outreach projects. The message is simple and good.

God loves you so much that he gave his only Son to die for your sins. All you need to do is to believe in him. When you do that, all your sins are forgiven. There is nothing else for you to do because Jesus has done it all. You have eternal life. Your place in heaven is guaranteed. If you are to die at any time, you will end up in heaven.

Think about this. All other religions require their people to do things to reach out to their Gods and earn their place in heaven. Over here, Jesus has done everything for you and he made the first move to reach out to you. You can go to heaven without having to do anything. Just believe in Jesus and say the sinner’s prayer.

Don’t you think being a Christian is a good deal? Only a real fool will reject such a great offer. So, the right thing to do is to go through the process of becoming a believer.

The first thing you will experience is joy beyond description. Your outlook of life has become so clear and wonderful. You are glad you have become a Christian and you wonder why you did not believe earlier. You feel like you are in heaven right now.

Is this happily ever after? Fat hope. You are about to enter the living hell.

Second Layer Gospel
After you have become a Christian, you will be led to your first orientation. This can be one to one coaching (known as “follow-up”), an organized class in the church or a combination of both. In these lessons, you will be taught on the basic of Christianity like who is God, what he has done and what is the Bible.

In the next step, you will be taught on how you should behave as a Christian. You have to pray regularly, read the Bible regularly and attend church every week. Sometimes, you can be told to attend more classes for your spiritual growth.

As you attend more classes and Sunday sermons, you began to realize that they are nothing more than imposing rules on dos and don’ts on you. Your mind will be filled with a lot of things that you must and must not do. You are to serve in the church, go for mission trips, invite non believers to attend evangelistic events and give your money to the church. You may be saved by faith but they will tell you that faith without works is dead. This means you must do whatever they tell you to do. Welcome to the life of slavery and bondage.

Your church leaders can even have the right to ask money from you to finance whatever project they want. This had actually happened in my first church. The church pastors had decided to build an extension to the existing building. The cost was a few million dollars, which it did not have. They resorted to squeeze the church members for it. Every Sunday was fund raising day. In all their sermons, somehow every Bible verse that was quoted had a message on giving to the church building fund.

There was a leader who openly declared that God had provided the money for the church building. It was in our pockets. This means the church had the right to demand us to give it money because the money in our pockets was no longer ours. They were not begging anymore. They were demanding our money. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I left the church for this reason.

As I look back, I am glad this event happened because it helped me to realize how corrupt those pastors are.

Overall, in this layer you are to obey the list of dos and don’ts. The pastors will make you feel guilty if you fail in any of them. Even if you accomplish any, you will be told that it is not enough. Let me give you an example.

How long do you pray every day?

Answer: 5 minutes.
Reply: Not enough. You should pray for at least 15 minutes.

Answer: 15 minutes.
Reply: Not enough. You should pray for at least 30 minutes.

Answer: 30 minutes.
Reply: Not enough. You should pray for at least 1 hour.

Answer: 1 hour.
Reply: Not enough. You should pray for at least 3 hours.

And so on.

So, what is your answer? No matter what you say or do, it is never enough.

That is not all. There are some strange rules you have to obey. Some churches forbid their members to watch movies, read Harry Potter or do any work on Sunday. In my particular church, once the pastor had openly said that Christians must not pose for pictures in front of a temple. Here is the background. One of the popular tourist destinations for Singaporeans is Thailand where there are a lot of beautiful temples. Many tourists like pose for pictures in front of these temples. So, “wise” pastor considers it as a sin for Christians to take pictures with a temple.

All religious churches have their own unwritten list of dos and don’ts. I emphasize the term “unwritten” because none of them dare to put their dos and don’ts in writing. When asked, they will tell you to refer to the Bible. If that is so, why are they not written down? The truth is there are 2 reasons on why are there no written list.

First, a written list will expose the inconsistencies among them. Ten religious churches will have ten different lists. An act like watching a movie can be allowable in one church but it is a sin in another church.

Secondly, their dos and don’ts are not exhaustive. There are always new “discoveries” on new sins. The more sermons you attend, the longer your list of dos and don’ts will be. So, the wise course of action is to avoid going to church. Imagine, suppose the preacher tells you 5 things to do and you only manage to do 2 of them. You are guilty of 5-2=3 sins. If you don’t go to church at all, you will only be guilty of one sin, the sin of not going to church.

Where is the joy that you have when you first believe? It is gone and replaced with guilt. How can you not feel guilty? You can never do anything right. The system makes sure of that. The only way some Christians can experience joy is not to take their church seriously which I will explain later.

It that all the bad things that can happen to you? No, there is more. I have not told you the perversion yet. Let us go to the third layer.

Third Layer Gospel
This is the perversion level. The pastors will use the text on Apostle Paul’s description of the thorns of the flesh and story of Job to explain that God has a different definition on the word “good”. God is good. God is so good that he can give you disease, cause you to be knocked down by a car, make you bankrupt or any other perversions. The term “good” in the Third Layer Gospel has the same meaning as “evil” in the dictionary.

I can relate a story here. One day, my brother-in-law was hospitalized for some sort of disease. When my wife and I reached him in the hospital, I saw a group of people surrounding him acting like they were praying for him. After the prayer, a lady in the group said, “Maybe God wants you to rest more.”

Wow. So, God gives diseases to help people to rest. Are you impressed? If you are not resting well, don’t worry. God will give you some disease to help you to rest. When you see sick people, tell them that their sicknesses come from a loving God who wants them to rest. How about those who died from disease? Well, God must have loved them so much that he kills them so that they can continue to lie down and rest for eternity. Are you not glad to have such a wonderful God?

How do you know that your God loves you? The answer is, he gives you good things in your life like making you sick, causing you to have road accidents, burning your house, killing your loves ones and many other similar things which the rest of the infidels will call perversion.

Such “good” things are not only for God to display his love. He uses the same things to punish people for their sins. Do you know why disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, bush fires or terrorism happened? It is the judgement of God to punish the people involved for their sins. The most popular of those sins is abortion and followed by homosexuality and stem cell research.

If you want to be a prophet, there are 3 ways to do it.

The first way is to wait for any disasters to happen. It can be natural disasters like earthquakes or man-made ones like terrorism. The only criteria is, it must kill a lot of people or cause a lot of damages. Then you proclaim publicly that God has spoken to you and he told you that the disaster was his judgement on the people for their sins. What sin should you use? The safest bet is abortion, followed by homosexuals and stem cell research. This tactic works every time. You will establish your career as a prophet.

The second way is to proclaim publicly that God had spoken to you and he told you that he wants to judge the community that you are in for their sins. You can use back the same sins as above. Then you invite your congregation to join you to plead for mercy. If any disaster happens in the next few days, you hit the jackpot. You are now recognized as a true prophet. If nothing happens, you can always fall back on God’s mercy. God has heard your plea and he had decided to cancel his judgement for your sake. So, you are right regardless of any disasters happening in the next few weeks. Heads you win, tails you also win. Isn’t it cool?

The third way is more personal. You will need a huge audience. Proclaim publicly that God had spoken to you and he told you that someone in the audience had a specific problem. Describe the specific problem. If the population is big enough, you will hit someone with the exact problem. This person will be your advertisement.

These are the 3 ways I can think of that can help anyone to be a prophet. It is based on this layer of Gospel. If you are in this layer, you are the living hell.

This sums up the Third Layer Gospel. The next question is, do everyone in a religious church equally miserable? The answer is no. There are exceptions.

Exceptions to the rule.
There are people who attend church services every week. They walk in, sing the songs, perform the rituals and sit through the sermons. However, after they leave the church, they will forget everything inside there and live the life they want. So, they are not affected by the toxic. I consider them to be the smartest people in religious churches.

Conclusion.
With the exception of the analogy, the above facts are real. You can experience them in any religious church. How to find religious churches? The first clue I reveal in this chapter is evangelism. Religious churches are very obsessed with it. They are so committed that they are willing to resort to threats and blackmails to get their members to do it. A religious church is an evangelistic church.

When you see Christians on the streets trying to get people to the church or sharing the gospel, don’t be too hard on them. They are just victims of threats and blackmails from their churches. Try to be sympathetic instead.

Introduction To The 10 Lies Of Religious Christianity

Authors note: I am planning to write an ebook entitled “The 10 Lies Of Religious Christianity”. In this book, I plan to allow free viewing of the introduction and the first 2 chapters. Below is the Introduction on this book. I welcome suggestions on improvements.

Introduction

In this book, I am committed to reveal the whole truth about the deception and the hypocrisy of Religious Christianity. I hope the information provided in this book are helpful to those who are not Christians as well as those who are currently attending religious churches.

If you are not a Christian, it is important for you to know the real truth of the Christian Religion because those people who tried to get you into this religion will not tell you the underlying truth. They rely on some marketing tactics known as First Layer Gospel to lure you in and once you are in, you will be subjected to the hidden layer, which is the hell on earth. I was a victim to their evangelism and I have attended many of the services of a religious church. So, I can say that I know all their deceptions. This book is the compilation of what I have learned about them.

If you are already a Christian attending any of the religious churches, I hope the revelation in this book will cause you to repent from this heresy and turn to the real Jesus of the Bible. The real Jesus of the Bible is not a pervert. He will never give thorns in the flesh to show his sufficient grace. Neither will he resort to any form of perversion for any reasons. He is good and good means good.

I am sure that everyone who has attended religious churches are aware of these lies but they are intimidated (like I was) from openly exposing it. Why? I was afraid of what the perverse God might do to me if I openly disobey him. I was trained by my first church to think of God as a selfish pervert who will sink to any level of perversion to punish anyone he does not like.

It is the “good” will of God to steal, kill and destroy anyone who dared to disobey him. Unfortunately, even those who obey him are not spared either. Even if you obey God to the best of your ability, he still reserves the right to give you some thorns in the flesh to show you his sufficient grace. In short, being a Christian is a lose-lose situation. God will do perverted things to you regardless of how good or bad you are.

Therefore, my early Christian life is a life of avoiding God. I tried not to be too good or too bad. I just wanted to stay in the crowd in order not to attract God’s attention. I figured that if God does not notice me, he will not do perverted things to me like giving me some thorns in the flesh to show me his sufficient grace. This used to be the way I live. I was in a living hell.

I thank God for revealing his truth to me. I realize that the teachings I received from my first church are nothing but lies from the pit of hell. Ever since I realize that God is not a pervert as propagated by my first church, I have dropped all the pretenses of religion.

I can now openly declare that I hate missions. I will never join any mission trip. I never did before, I am not doing it now and I will never do it in the future. I can think what I want to think and desire what I want to desire even if those desires are politically incorrect like wanting to have a lot of money. My desire is to prosper in every area of my life. I want to have good health, long life and have a lot of money. I want to set up my own foundation to end starvation in this world, to teach people how to get rich and build space ships to bring humanity to the stars. It is my desire to fulfill all my desires. This is true freedom.

Obeying God is a choice. I can choose to obey or disobey him at anytime I please. I am no longer acting like a religious hypocrite. Am I still a Christian? The answer is, as long as it pleases me. This means I can stop being a Christian if I am not pleased with it. No one can force any religious law on me. I do not allow anyone to tell me what a Christian can do or cannot do.

If there are any pastor who tells me that God told him to tell me to give him money, I will ask him to join the theologians in hell. Why? God and I are very good friends. If he has anything to say to me, he will tell me directly. He will never use a stranger to pass the message. My God is not ashamed to meet me.

Likewise for any doom and gloom prophecy on any disasters that are supposed to happen in my area. If God plans to have some earthquakes that can potentially affect me, he will inform me personally. He will never use any external source like some “prophets” to pass the message. Therefore, I can conclude that all the doom and gloom prophecies that I do not approve of are heresies.

I choose the title of “10 Lies of Religious Christianity” to expose the most common lies propagated in religious churches. Let me begin by defining the term “lie”.

When I say “lie”, I am not referring to the term religious people used to accuse each other. In this book, I define “lie” as saying things differently from what you actually believe. For example, if you say the earth is flat and you truly believe in what you say, you are not a liar. However, if you believe the earth is round and you say it is flat you are a liar in my definition.

My message here is not about Religious Christians being misled into believing a false teaching as the truth. In reality, they know deep in their hearts that their church teachings are lies but they still insist claiming that their church teachings are truth because they are under the blackmail of the thorn-in-the-flesh-God. I know all these because I was one of them before.

I use the term “Religious Christianity” to show that the teachings in religious churches are not true Christianity as taught by Jesus in the Bible. If you read about Jesus’ life in the Bible, you will find that he is a very secular and caring person. He was never religious. When he saw sick people, he wanted to heal them. When he saw hungry people, he wanted to feed them. He never cared about religious rules. He had even broken a religious law for the sake of healing a woman. The only group of people he had openly condemned was the theologians. He was loved by the people and hated by the theologians.

Not only that, Jesus was very rich. Even before he reached the age of 2, his family was visited by a group of rich men who offered boxes of gold to him. Jesus may be born in a poor family but his family became rich within the first 2 years of his birth.

When he started his own ministry, he was able to commit to it full time because he did not have to work for a living. Throughout his ministry, Jesus had never asked anyone for money. He had a lot of money sustain himself, his disciples and even to give away to the poor. He never carried his own wallet. He assigned one of his disciples to carry his wallet for him.

Even after he was to be crucified, the Roman soldiers drew lots for his clothes. This tells us that Jesus must be wearing high quality and branded clothes. Such clothes must have high resale value.

All these facts are in the Bible but you can never find them preached in any religious church. Religious churches are terrified of the truth and they will stop at nothing to hide them.

It is my intention to expose the very secrets that they tried to hide. In case somebody may ask about the definition of “religious church”, my answer is all of them practice the entire 10 lies written in this book. As you read this book, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
