My Favorite Verse

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Mark 11:24 (NKJV)

I am back again writing on my favorite verse in the Bible. In fact, this verse presents the basic fundamentals on the Bible. It is important to have a firm grasps on the fundamentals on the Bible as it helps us to use it as our servant to bring prosperity into our lives. Without this fundamental, we will be at the mercy of the theologians.

I knew of the above verse even when I was in my first church that was deeply infected by the lies of theology. I knew the meanings of all the words but I just could not believe in its meanings without adding in some theology in it. Why was that so? I was under the bondage of theology at that time. I could only see negative things in the Bible. Reading the Bible was an obligation and God was a pervert.

I thank God for he had set me free from those lies. So, I am not surprise that many Christians today are living in the bondage of theology that they can never understand the truth. If you are one of them, you have a choice. Do you intend to renounce the lies of theology and turn to Jesus, or do you intend to continue to live in fear of a perverse God who can give you thorns in the flesh to show you his sufficient grace?

In this article, I will share with you the revelations I have received. My first emphasis is on the part, “whatever things you ask”. Jesus was telling us how to get anything we ask. He did not put any restrictions on what we can or cannot ask. The Bible does not contain any form of “approve list” on what we can ask God for.

This means we can ask for anything we want from God even things that are not politically correct like a lot of money. For some reasons, the Theologian (also known as Satan) is afraid of Christians getting rich. Churches that preach on missions are not accused for preaching the missions gospel. Churches that preach on praying are not accused of preaching the praying gospel. However, churches that preach prosperity are automatically accused of preaching the prosperity gospel. This is the greatest proof that the Theologian wants to keep Christians poor so that we can never be a threat to him. Unfortunately for him, there are still many Christians like myself who has decided to believe in the truth of God and reject the lies of theology.

This verse also tells us that Jesus has no intention to take away our individuality. He taught us how to ask God for what we want. He had never placed any restrictions on what we can want or cannot want. Jesus had never said, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask AS LONG AS THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HEALTH, WEALTH OR ANYTHING THAT CAN BE OBJECTIVELY PROVEN when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

The words in capital letters are not from the Bible. We have complete freedom to decide on what we want and ask God for them. In Star Trek terms, God had never intended Christians to be assimilated into the Borg collective.

At this point, I am sure some theologians will ask on what will happen if we ask for evil things. In fact, there was a doctrine worshipper who challenged me to ask God for wrong things to prove this verse is right. Here is my answer to such idiotic challenge:

1. I have no intention to prove the Gospel true. I choose to believe it is true because I want to use it as a tool to bring me everything I want including the politically incorrect money. By extension I have no intention to convince the theologians and doctrine worshippers on anything. Since they chose to follow the Theologian, they will bear the consequences themselves.

2. I do not intend to ask God for wrong things like poverty and sickness because I am not stupid. God has given me the freedom to think what I want to think and desire what I want to desire. So, I choose to desire the right things like prosperity in every area of my life.

I call this the freedom to choose. Ask yourself. What do you want? What are your desires? Ask God for them. As long as the things you ask for are what you want and they bring prosperity to you, they are the “right things” to ask God for. It is also God’s desire to give us everything we ask him for.

However, asking God alone is not enough. We need to believe we will receive the things we ask God for. This is the hardest part because it requires consistency. We have to keep believing that we will receive even if the situation around us tells us the opposite. This is where faith comes in. We have to make sure we are in faith at all times. How are we going to do that? Read faith books, listen to faith sermons, think faith thoughts and do whatever it takes to fill your mind with thoughts of faith.

Is this hard? It depends on how intense do you want to receive what you have asked God for. If your desire to get the things you ask God is really great, then all those spiritual discipline I have recommended will be nothing to you. You will get whatever you want if you are willing to put in as much effort as it takes. This is the formula of success.

Say To This Mountain

23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
Mark 11:23-24 (NLT)

Anyone who attends churches that preaches the true Gospel of Jesus Christ (as opposed to the lies of theology) should be quite familiar with Mark 11:24. However, in this article, my focus is in the verse before it, in particular the act of speaking to the mountain.

In this verse, Jesus told his disciples that as long as they believe and do not doubt in their hearts, they could tell the mountain to be lifted up and thrown to the sea. The mountain will obey. This is the power of faith. Please note that Jesus did not say we need to pray to God and ask him to throw the mountain to the sea. We do not need God to be our middleman. We have the direct power to move the mountain.

When I was in my first church, I remember a theological pastor tried to rationalize this verse into saying that we can tell the mountain to go to the sea and if it is God’s will for it to do so, it will happen. Yet the above verse says otherwise. The way this corrupt pastor put it is like saying that I can give you anything you ask me for as long as it is my will to do so. Each time you ask me for anything, I only have to say it is not my will for you to have it. It is clear that theology is nothing but pure stupidity apart from being a lie from the pit of hell.

The truth is, we have direct power to change our environment. God has given us the power to change our environment the way we want it. We do not have to keep asking for his permission. Let me give you some examples.

 When the light bulb in your house is burnt, the solution is to get a new one and replace it. You don’t have to ask for God’s permission to do so. God’s will for you in this situation is to change the light bulb.

 If you are sick, your duty is to get well. Do everything you can to get well. This may include visiting the doctor, getting some rest, drink more water etc. You don’t have to ask for God’s permission to do so. God’s will for you in this situation is to get well.

 If you are cut and bleed, your duty is to get healed. Do everything you can to get healed. This may include cleaning the wound, applying antiseptic, bandaging the wounds etc. You don’t have to ask for God’s permission to do so. God’s will for you in this situation is to get healed.

 If you are poor, your duty is to get rich. Do everything you can to get rich. This may include finding better jobs, starting a new business, learning new skills, cutting expenses etc. You don’t have to ask for God’s permission to do so. God’s will for you in this situation is to get rich.

The above are not exhaustive. They are called common sense. No one in the right mind dispute that.

The mountain in the above verse represents obstacles that appear to be permanent and impossible to remove in our lives. It can be in the form of a huge pile of debts that you appear to have no hope of clearing. It can be in the form of a bleak situation where you cannot find good jobs with good income. It can also be in the form of an incurable disease in your body that seems to have an upper hand.

In short, the mountain represents huge problems that are here to stay. How should we respond? Jesus’ answer is for us to speak to it. Speak to the mountain and tell it that it has no right to come to your life. Tell it to throw itself to the sea. Tell your problems to go back to their source, which is the pit of hell.

1. Tell your debts to be gone. Tell your poverty and lack to be gone. Jesus had died poor for you to be rich.
2. Tell your sickness and disease to be gone. Jesus had taken them with him at the Cross.
3. Tell your failures to be done. You are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the spiritual realms.

Use your mouth and speak to those mountains. Jesus had guaranteed us that as long as we believe in what we say and do not doubt, those mountains will have to obey us. This is how Christians should deal with the problems we face in our lives. It does how matter how big those problems appear to be. They have no choice but to obey our instructions. This is their destiny. Jesus had guaranteed that.

Unfortunately, the reverse is also true. If you are to say the wrong things like:
 I will never get out of this debt.
 I will never get a good job.
 I will never get healed.
 I will never be successful.

You will also get what you say. When you say those words, you are effectively strengthening those mountains in your life. Mark 11:23-24 is still working in your life but you are using it in a negative way that will harm you.

Therefore it is essential for us to guard our tongues in all times, especially when we are facing problems. When you are facing problems, make sure you only speak positive words to overcome them. If you are poor, speak words of prosperity. If you are sick, speak words of health.

In conclusion, Jesus has told us that we have all the power we need in our tongues. We can either use them to get rid of our problems or to increase them. The choice is ours based on how we use our tongues.
