6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.
Proverbs 15:6 (NKJV)
In the previous article, we can see that God sees every believer as righteous regardless of their past. No matter what bad things or mistakes you have made in the past, God still sees you as righteous if you believe in him. This is the main benefit of becoming believers.
This principle has been used by many churches as a marketing gimmick to lure the unsuspecting public to become their believers. Once their prey were caught and become believers, the Gospel changes. This is the common practice of religious churches.
Since, we are not subjected to the bondage of religion, we can afford to ignore their amendments. As far as we are concern, the message of salvation is still valid even after we became Christians. We are always seen as righteous in the eyes of God regardless of our actions, may they be past, present and future.
Those who think like me will undoubtedly ask a very important question. What is in for me? How can I benefit from becoming righteous?
The answer is in the above verse.
“In the house of the righteous there is much treasure”
This means God guaranteed with riches. Please note that the verse does not say “spiritual treasure”. It says treasure. Having a lot of money is included. I believe what it says. All Christians are destined to be rich from the moment they believed.
Right now, I can easily predict a lot of people pointing out to a lot of poor and not rich enough Christians to prove me wrong. My answer is simple. I did not write the Bible. The Bible is the Word Of God, not the Word Of Yeap Chee Seng. Therefore, God is the one who should be held accountable for these poor and not rich enough Christians.
As for me and my household, we choose to believe in what the Bible says. We believe in the faithfulness of our God. We believe our God will fulfill all the promises he made to us including the promise to make us rich in every area of our lives. I look forward to the great riches coming my way.
