Jesus Was Born Rich And So Are You

11 They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11 (NLT)

The above verse is about an event that took place when Jesus was under 2 years old. Jesus was born in a manger that was filled with animals. It was not exactly a good place to be born in, even though there were some shepherds dropped in to say hello. It seems like Jesus was born poor but the situation changed dramatically when he was around 2 years old.

At that time, Jesus had a few visitors who came from far away and they did not come empty handed. They came with treasure chests filled with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for Jesus. Jesus became rich even before he was old enough to attend kindergarten. So, anyone who says Jesus was poor on earth are either liars or they don’t read the Bible.

Why do you think God put this verse in the Bible? Obviously he wants us to know that Jesus was rich when he was on earth. Jesus was setting an example for us that God has designed every one of us humans to be rich. There is no provision in the Bible that allows Christians to be poor. If you happen to be a poor Christian, you should start rejoicing because God wants you to be rich. Seek God, read the Bible, listen to true Bible teachings and read the articles in this blog if you really want to obey God and be rich.

Please note that, Jesus only received his physical gold when he was about 2 years old. He did not get them immediately when he was born. Jesus was born in a very “unglorious” place. He did not look very rich then. There is a waiting period between the birth of Jesus to the day he got his first treasure chests. So, even Jesus has to wait for some time to get his riches manifested before his eyes.

The same can happen to us. You may not find yourself very rich right now. You can still see the poor environment and the piles of debts around you. God is telling you not to give up. God is the one who promised you abundant prosperity and he will keep his words. Your prosperity will come as long as you keep believing and don’t ever give up your faith.

However, if you choose to give up, I can prophesy right now on what is going to happen. This is my prophecy: nothing. If you give up, nothing is going to change. Your present situation will remain the same. Therefore, faith is your only choice is you want to change your life for the better.

This is your waiting period. Your visitors are on their way carrying your treasure chests to you. Make sure you don’t run away or they will not be able to find you. How did the visitors find Jesus? They followed the star. God has planned the star to be at that particular location in order to direct the visitors to Jesus.

Likewise, wherever you are right now, God has planted a star at that location to direct your prosperity to you. You may be in a very bad job like washing toilets or sweeping the streets but it does not matter to God. God can still prosper you wherever you are. Do your job cheerfully, enthusiastically and with thanksgiving to God. You are effectively making your star to shine brighter. This will cause your prosperity to come sooner.

Having said that, it does not mean that you cannot move to a better job when the opportunity comes. If the new job is better than your present job, you can be sure that God wants you to go for it. He will move your star along. I am sure you will understand that this does not include jobs that are illegal or immoral.

In conclusion, do not be despair if your situation looks bad now. If you are a Christian, you are meant to be rich in every area of your life. This includes having a lot of money. Theologians and doctrine worshippers may be against Christians asking God for a lot of money but not God. God wants us to be rich. He has placed a bright star above each of us to direct prosperity to us.

Each time, you talk negative, think negative, feel negative and stay away from God, you are making your star dimmer. You are effectively delaying the manifestation of your prosperity. In contrast, if you talk positive, think positive, feel positive and stay close with God, you are making your star brighter. Your prosperity will arrive sooner.

This is the truth. What is your choice?
