God Will Give Life Your Our Mortal Bodies

11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Romans 8:11 (NLT)

This verse tells us of the great privilege we have as Christians. The Spirit of God, the one who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us. We have the most powerful person in the universe living in us and at our side. Don’t you think this is the best position to be in? How can we ever lose and be defeated? As Christians we are born winners. We are champions of God. Therefore, the more we read the Bible, the more we will comprehend the truth that God is on our side and subsequently the more positive our outlook for life will be. We, Christians have everything we need to live victorious, successful and prosperous lives.

The second part of the verse tells us that as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. The question, why life? Am I not alive now in my mortal body? What type of life can the Spirit of God gives me that is different or better than the life I am having now? In this article, I shall explore the characteristics of the life stated in the above verse.

We are all alive since we were born. However, this life that we were born in has been tainted by Adam’s sin. It is not the same as what Adam and Eve had before they sinned. I shall call this the Fallen Life. The Fallen Life is extremely weak. It is vulnerable to diseases, physical harm and condemned to deterioration due to aging. It will not last long. We can’t enjoy much from this type of life.

Thank God, he knows what to do. The Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead is now living in us. He is the Holy Spirit. He does not stay idle when he is living in us. He gives life to our mortal bodies. As Christians, we no longer live in the Fallen Life anymore. We are no longer vulnerable to diseases, physical harm and condemned to deterioration due to aging. Our lives are eternal. No evil, no sickness, no disease no aging and no harm have the right to harm us because we have the True Life from the Holy Spirit.

Through the Holy Spirit we are forever young. Even if you were born 1,000 years ago you are still young because of the life that the Holy Spirit gives to your mortal body. This life cannot age. It will never grow old.

If you happen to be sick right now you have to remind yourself that the symptoms of sickness you can feel and see right now are false because they do not aligned with the truth in the Bible. It does not matter how incurable your disease is or how bad your medical report says you are. You must realize that these negative reports are based on the limited knowledge of the medical science. As a Christian, you are beyond such limitations. In God’s view, he has given his life to your mortal body. Your mortal body is no longer mortal. The life of God has made it immortal. This immortal body of yours cannot be harmed by any disease. You are healed despite the symptoms and the reports.

You need to enforce your right of your immortality. You need to build up your faith. Read the Bible, listen to faith messages, confess your healing and fill your heart with joy. Before long, the truth will prevail. That “incurable” disease of yours will have to go away because it cannot exist in your immortal body. You are healed because of the life from the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for this article. I have known this; Psalms 103 tells us this clearly, that the Lord heals ALL our diseases, and also renews our youth. 1Peter2:24, by the stripes of Jesus we “were” healed. Unfortunately, I know a boatload of “Christians” that don’t know/believe this. I also believe that the “aging” process was originally part of the curses. Praise God, Jesus was made a curse for us; that we now receive all the blessings of Abraham~
