Greater Is He That Is In You Than He That Is In The World.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4(KJV)

One of the greatest lie propagated by religious people is, God is in full control of everything in this world. To them, there are no accidents. Everything that happened, happened by the will of God. This means if someone is sick, it is the will of God for this person to be sick. Maybe God wants to teach this person a lesson. Maybe God wants him to rest more. Maybe God wants him to spend more time praying. Maybe, maybe, maybe. No matter what the maybes can be, the religious people are sure in one thing, God wanted it to happen. They don’t know for sure why you are sick but they are sure that God is the culprit who caused it. The same is said for traffic accidents, natural disasters, acts of terrorism or any other crisis. They happened because God wanted it. It is the will of God to steal, kill and destroy.

Do you remember the 9-11 incident? The terrorists rammed 2 planes into 2 towers at the World Trade Center in New York. Within a few days, there were many religious leaders sharing their “insights” on what happened. The basic idea was, God allowed it to happen to punish America for her sins. What are those sins that require such genocide of so many people? It can be banning of school prayers and being tolerant to homosexuals. So, in their religious view, God will not hesitate to ram planes into buildings on nations that do not practice school prayers or tolerate homosexuals.

Can you truly respect such a God? I can’t. If the religious people are right about God, I don’t want to have anything to do with this entity. Thank God, they are wrong. The above verse tells us the opposite of what the religious people are propagating, which I will explain in the later part of this article.

“Are you saying that it is alright not to have school prayers and being tolerant to homosexuals?”

I believe in prayers as defined in the Bible. Prayers are meant to work and there is only one way for prayers to work that is to pray in faith (Mark 11:24). You can legislate prayers to force everyone to go through the motion of praying but you can never force them to believe. Prayers without believing is useless and a waste of time. Therefore, enforcing school prayers will only cause resentment among people who are not christians and will not produce any positive results. Why would God want to ram planes into buildings if there are no school prayers? Trust a religious mind to come out of that.

As for homosexuality, the Bible has clearly defined it as sin. It is not natural and not in the plan of God for it to happen. This means practising it will not result in blessings and prosperity from God. However, not everyone believes in the Bible. They may identify themselves as gays because they really believe they were born that way. As christians, we can show them the truth but they can also choose not to believe in what we say. This does not give us the right to persecute them and deny them of their rights as citizens of their country.

I believe the best approach is from the example of my country, Singapore. We have a law that prohibits gay sex but it has never been enforced. Some time ago, some of our liberal politicians wanted to repeal this law but faced with objections from the masses. In the end the government had decided to let it stay.

The question is, why do we keep the law that we have no intention of enforcing? To the majority of us, this law serves as our position that homosexuality is wrong and unnatural. We do not want our children to grow up thinking that they have a choice of becoming a gay. At the same time, we respect the gays’ right as our fellow citizens.

We do not have our version of Inquisitors or Talibans searching door to door, looking for homosexuals to burn at the stake. Homosexuals in Singapore are not required to identify their sexual orientation in situations like job applications, government grants, housing etc. So as long as they keep a low profile and don’t promote their activities openly, they can continue to live and prosper in our country. Yes, I believe in being tolerant to homosexuals and at the same time not compromising the truth.

Let us get back to the original topic. The Bible has a lot of verses proving that the religious idea of God in full control on everything is a lie and 1 John 4:4 is one of them. This verse can be broken down into the following:

1. We belong to God.
2. As such, we are able to overcome the world.
3. The one inside us is greater than the one in the world.

I don’t think I have to elaborate further that the one in us is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God and the one in the world is Satan. Let us enhance further the meaning on this. “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” This part tells me the following:

1. There are 2 forces in existence – the one in me (God) and the one in the world (Satan).
2. They belong to opposite sides and at war at each other.
3. The one in me is greater than the one in this world.

So it is clear that God does not exercise full control in this world. There is another entity called Satan running this world. Therefore the idea of everything that happened is the will of God is a lie.

“How can we tell then, what is from God and what is from Satan?”

10The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
John 10:10 (Amplified)

The above verse clearly separates the will of God and the will of the devil. The “thief” refers to Satan. Satan came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came for us to enjoy life and have abundance. Abundance refers to prosperity. In short, God wants us to be rich and the devil wants us to be poor.

So, when you see stealing, killings and destruction in this world, they are the works of Satan. It is Satan’s will for them to happen, not God. This tells us that Satan is controlling the world that we are living in.

“How does this happen?”

Here is a brief history lesson. When God made this earth, he gave Man the full control on it. When Adam committed high treason to God, the control was forfeited and fell into the hands of Satan. This was the beginning to stealing, killings and destruction in this world. However, after Jesus died at the Cross to pay for the price of all our sins, Satan’s authority over this world had been taken away from him by God. God has in turn handed back this authority to us.

Having this authority is useless unless we know how to exercise it. While Satan’s authority over this world has been removed, he is still in control through illegal means. This is equivalent to a country’s president who lost the election but still hold on to power through military control.

In our spiritual battle to regain our rights, it is necessary for us to acknowledge these facts:
1. Satan is in effective control over this world.
2. This control is illegal after Jesus’s death at the Cross.
3. It is our right to take back this control. We are the legal owners of this world.

How do we do that?

First, we need to identify Satan’s works in out life. Are you sick? Are you in lack, poor and in debt? Are you depressed and stressed? Are you facing the prospect of losing everything that you have? These are symptoms of stealing, killings and destruction. They are the works of Satan and his gang. They have no right to do that and therefore illegal. It is illegal for the devil to steal our prosperity, health and success.

Second, we have to decide to resist their illegal oppression in our lives. We need to believe that it is God’s will for us to prosper and be in health as our soul prospers. As we believe, we have to determine to fight to regain the rights our Jesus has paid at the Cross. No matter how impossible the situation appears to be or how many times we have been knocked down, we can always rise up and fight again because the one who is in us is greater than the one in this world (1 John 4:4). So, as long as we have decided to fight this battle and determined no to give up no matter what the enemies throw at us, we are destined to win. We are destined to get back all our rights the Jesus bought for us through his death at the Cross and demand compensation from our oppressors on all the sufferings inflicted on us.

Third, we need to know that that the source of our strength and victory is God. Our reliance on God is the key to our victory. If you choose to rely on your own ability, you are bound to lose. This tells us that we need to spend quality time with God, listen to faith message, meditate on his word, confess his word and anything instructed by God if we are really serious in winning this battle.

8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Joshua 1:8(KJV)

No weapon forged against us will prevail… NO WEAPON, for we are more than conquerors, and greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Amen

A true revelation on the identity of man. Once we reliaze our
true identity and Jesus(sons), we can begin to walk and our greatness. Keep up the good work and may the Father continue to reveal revelation that causes change to occur and the here and now.
    Keep advancing the kingdom.

  6. Pinspin Says:

Well i have read a lot of what you have had to say. I would like to simply say, you are correct to a point, GOD is that none would perish 9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. I can hear what you are saying, yet I cannot totally agree. Whatever happens no matter how small or seemingly pointless is by GODS permission else how could it then be, 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (2 thessalonians 2) Read the preceding vs to get a more full understanding. GOD know what and why, we do not. This is the greater condemnation. The word has gone forward but the world loved darkness. Free will. No. GOD does not desire the things that happen to be evil, yet because of sin… This is why CHRIST died. We chose. Romans 8: There is now therefore no condemnation for those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh but after the SPIRIT. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Then there is Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Matthew 18:77Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! There is a great deal of scripture to support the fact that GOD is IN CONTROL of EVERYTHING! We all must 2TIm2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto GOD!

  7. Pinspin Says:

Forgive me that is Matthew 18:7 -not- 77

  8. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Thank you for agreeing with me.

  9. Piera Lindau Says:

I just heard a much respected pastor on television, three times tell the people and I quote: greater is he that is in me than he that is in the Word? I got so distrubed, I am not a bible master but is made me say no no that is not what is in my heart and spirit, I believe it is in the World satan not the word. Please let me know.

  10. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

    World not word.

  11. twsander Says:

The Book of Job addresses this very issue…it is important to note that while Satan is the one wreaking havoc in this fallen world, it is still done under the ultimate sovereign authority of God, so while God may have ceded control of specific works of havoc that occur here, He has never ceded His ultimate authority …. so it is God that allows everything to occur and will stop it in His own time and by His own will and His own methods. There are many cases in the Bible where God allows evil but ultimately uses it for good …. we cannot know why any one bad thing happens but God has an ultimate good purpose for it, be it testing faith, encouraging perserverance, demonstrating our need for Him, teaching discernment, and sometimes even yes executing judgement (as in the destruction of the temple by the Romans) …. so whether or not God has full control of everything in this world depends on your definition of control …. I suppose you could argue that God does not directly carry out every evil thing that happens in this world, but they still happen under His authority and for His ultimate purposes, therefore by His will …. if that were not true then Satan would be equal to God, not subject to Him … however Job is a clear declaration that God is truly the ultimate sovereign authority over all things, including Satan himself.

I’m with Pinspin, I agree with you to a point, then perhaps it just becomes a matter of semantics, but by my definition God is never not-in-control …. when it seems that He is, we are required to TRUST HIM and His ultimate will.

  12. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Good point. Let me give you an example on how God is not in control.

Shall I make a cup of coffee for myself? The decision is up to me. God is not in control. If God does not want me to have coffee, I can still drink it. If God wants me to drink coffee, I can still refuse to drink it.

What can God do? Will he possess my body and make me drink coffee? Or will he threaten to create an earthquake to punish me for my sin of not drinking coffee?

  13. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Tmckean, you post has been erased bacause I find you guity of blasphemy.

  14. andrew Says:

    Yeap Chee Seng,

The way I’ve come to understand love is that our sovereign God out of Love gives us the choices we have. If he didn’t love you, he would not give you choices. If he forced your every move, that would not be loving his child, that would be acting as a heartless dictator.
You do have the option to make your own choices in this life, including choosing him as your Lord and Savior, which he already knows if you will or not, but because he loves you he HAS given you a choice.
Remember though, he is our creator. John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
I pray that you open your heart to the God that loves you and died on the cross for your sins as well as mine.

    God bless

  15. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Good. I am glad that you have decided to receive my teachings.

  16. andrew Says:

please don’t be confused, the Lord is all powerful, omnipresent, in complete control. everything that happens if part of his plan. even none believers sinning against him is apart of his plan. please expel any notion of uncertainty, if you read the book of revelation as well as countless other parts of scripture it specifically speaks of how the Lord is inflexibly just, and all who do not believe in him and are born again will perish. Our Lord is in complete control, and part of that plan is allowing us to make choices. Again, please be sure that you realize that he IS in complete control.

  17. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Looks like you are not as good as I thought you were. May I recommend my latest free ebook on this topic?

  18. becky Says:

Idk who you aree but God is always in control && nothing can not be done outside of the will of God && tha things of Satan Aree allowed to get peoples attention God allows things to happen because thats the only way a person will turn to him but when God tells Satan not to touch his annoited satan has too flee he has no control of anything yes the things of the world may be of satan but God is still in control ! So the scripture Greater is he that is in Me than he that is in the world is stating that you have more power to overcome what the world says you cant but God is in fulll control && nothing cannot be done outside of the will of God ! Amen !

  19. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Wow, what a revelation! I did know that Satan is a part of God’s will. Looks like I have to apologize to Satan and all his devils. They are servants of God doing God’s will. Thank you for your revelation.

  20. shirlyn Says:

Satan is indeed part of God’s will, but I don’t think it is in the way that you think it is.
By saying that Satan is part of God’s will, I’m saying that God specifically ALLOWS Satan to be in existence, and can remove him anytime if He wants to. This is what it means by the statement that Satan is part of God’s will. Satan is not DOING God’s will, he is just there because God allows it, and that is God’s permissible will.

And referring to your comment on 30 Oct 2009 (the one about the coffee), God can DEFINITELY prevent you from drinking coffee if He does not want you to drink it. If God did not want you to drink the coffee, you might not even have the thought of drinking coffee in the first place! God bless!

    In God’s grace,

  21. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

This must be an example of the wisdom of theology. Thank you.

Satan, I apologize for calling you evil. Though you are not doing God’s will, you are a part of God’s will. To insult you is to insult a part of God’s will.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, let us repent for our past practise of insulting Satan and his devils. Although they are not doing God’s will, they are a part of God’s will. Whatever evil they have done, God allows them.

So, if you are not happy with the works of Satan, remember God allows it.

  22. frimpong kuffour Says:

how do we mantain the greatness of the one in us

  23. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

The greatness of the one in us is not a piece of machine that needs maintanence.

  24. dhikusooka moses Says:

i agree brother. when we know that and receive this revelation we shall overcome the devil. then shall we serve God with due honesty. we shall acknowledge hat the spirit in luke 4 ;18 that dwells in us is the same .He is the spirit that did mignty works in moses days, in the days of elija in the days of jesus and Jesus left him with us What a great thing to know.It leaves me with no room to doubt what God can do thru me.there is no limit. because greater is he that is me than the devil that is in the World.

  25. deenesh Says:

I have more than one comment for you but I will comment on the one I deem pressing. You state in one of your points.’It is our right to take back this control. We are the legal owners of this world.’ You seem to be referring to a second redemption that is caused by us. This is incorrect. The only redemption needed was the death and resurrection of Christ where God redeemed humanity. In His death we have been given the power, through Him, to overcome satan. We cannot overcome on our own, it is only by the saving grace and power of God manifested in us.

  26. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

No I have never implied what you think I implied. There is only one redemption, that is by what Jesus has done at the Cross. We cannot overcome on our own, it is only by the saving grace and power of God manifested in us. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Remember that.

  27. Nick Says:

God is in control of everything, nothing and I mean NOTHING happens with out his will and authority. To better understand this in light of “bad events in the world” read the entire book of Job. Here you will gain a glimpse of the inner workings of the heavenly realms and how Satan is like a roaring lion seeking to destroy us, hurling accusations against us night and day. You see, God is God and I am not, he knows the begging from the end and if I turn my life over to him he can work all things together for my good. (Don’t be fooled into thinking that what I just said that means I have my full reward here on earth in this lie time. The real treasure lies ahead when we reign with Christ for all eternity.)

  28. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

So, God must be the one who authorised this article and this blog. If you disobey my posts, you disobey God.

  31. Marvin R Sr. Says:

The works of Satan is contained and adminstered by “freewillers”. God’s power (Holy Spirit) within ME defeats Satan from individual havoc. Greater is he that is IN ME (Emphasis on the words IN ME). If I keep that power that is God in me, pray and stay faithful, the answer as to the “what and whys” of this world have absolutely no concern to ME, because although I’m in the world, I’m not of the world. (Which means God is my focus, my mark and my only concern) While I possess the greatest power within, the reasons of all the destruction and murder around me should never and will never defeat my spiritual power/ strength given to me by the one who is greater than this mayhem. Where is the power for me to be concern or argue about who controls or allows it. I’m on a level of spiritual maturity to not allow any arguement of this topic to distract me.
TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER is my concern and to labour in the harvest to win souls againts the enemy is and should always be my focus. Satan can not touch what God has control over. I choose God’s righteousness over freewill endevors. The hedge of God’s protection is enforce in high favor to fight and repel againt the ONE IN THE WORLD!

John 10:10 is a warning to those who chose freewill, Yeap Chee Seng’s message should not be argued. He is only sharing his views to invoke righteousness and nobody is mad but the enemy.
We need to stop giving freewillers a chance to laugh at us because we are lacking unity hrough combat interpetations of God word.
If you think he is right, so be it, if you think he is wrong, say a prayer for him to be furher enlighted by GOD!
BOTTOMLINE…Stop arguing over this topic and continue on the most important fact… GOD IN ME IS GREATER (In Control) THAN ANYTHING SET AGAINST ME IN THIS WORLD (Period) Sing choir!

  32. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

    Very theological.

  33. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

By the way, whether you choose to be a “freewiller” or a “bondagewiller”, you are still making a choice out of free will. Based on your own reasoning, you are going to hell for the sin of exercising free will.

    Prepare to hell, you freewiller.

  34. alec Says:
maybe if you meditate more on the word, your questions will be answered.

  36. George Says:

I appreciate your effort and time in putting up this nice article. You really made a huge contribution on topic. Really i agreed with you to some extent. I believe that anything under the sun happens because God permitted it to happen. Before you ran into any problem, God has for long forseen it, he allowed it to happen so that from it his name will be glorified. I am not advocating that he inflicts us with evil things, it’s satan that does it, but he only succeeds because God consented it. He has the ability to put to an end all your problems, but he choosed not to, of which if you look deep into, it’s just for your own good. Thanks a lot, dear.

  37. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

    Dear George,

The above article has already answered the issue you raised. The conclusion is God is not a pervert.

  38. Emma Says:

What a rich article/blog! My heart agrees. What disappoints is the arguing amongst Christians, and tone of superiority on the page at time. When this happens the adversary laughs. Rather than hurl “wiser than you” stones at each other, it is best to get on your knees and ask the Holy Spirit to impart His wisdom on a matter directly rather than engage in a war over the Word with brothers and sisters in Christ. Our ever reaching goal, is to connect with each other in worship of Him.
The best of Pastors will always admit they are human, and direct you to the Lord, and the bible for His truth, and affirmation of those truths.
God answers KNEE-mail. Please, don’t argue over the Word brothers and sisters. It only gives Satan an “In”.

  39. Fred Paul Says:

You are right on in your message. Satan is still on the loose and those that serve him do all that they can to steal, kill and destroy from His followers. I have two of my writings that I would like to share:

  40. AC104 Says:

Why did God allow evil in the world? If the Creator God is so good, why is there so much evil in the world? How can God be holy and allow His creation to be dominated by unholiness? How can God be perfectly righteous and ordain the presence of unrighteousness?

In fact, the reality of evil in the world is one of the favorite justifications of those who reject the God of the Bible. And so I want to give you what I believe is a biblical theodicy, a biblical defense of why God who is holy, who is loving, who is all-knowing, who is all-powerful has allowed evil to dominate His creation?

Yes there is evil. And there is not marginal evil and there is not minimal evil, there is pervasive, dominant evil. And I guess you could say that evil has a kind of secondary dominance in the whole of creation. It effects everything. It effects the natural creation, the supernatural creation and the human and personal creation. We admit it. We don’t deny it. Anybody who denies it is an absolute fool. Evil is massive, evil is out of control, evil is ingrained, it is systemic, it is everywhere all the time manifest in every one.

Brother Yeap Che Seng, I just want to remind you that only one God exists and He is the God revealed in Scripture, the one, true and only living God, the God of the Bible. And He is exactly the God that Scripture says He is, since the Bible is His self revelation. He is as the Revelation of Scripture describes Him. He is all-powerful, He is all-knowing, He is loving, and He is absolutely holy. Yes He is holy. Yes He is loving. Yes He is omnipotent, that is all-powerful and omniscient, all-knowing. He controls absolutely everything. The Bible tells us that God exists and that nothing exists that He does not ordain. Nothing occurs that He does not ordain. Everything is designed by, ordained by, and controlled by God. That is the biblical testimony.

Let me remind you of it. First Chronicles 29:11 and 12. “Thine, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty. For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is Thine. Thine is the Kingdom, O Lord. Thou art exalted as head above all. Thou reignest over all and in Thine hand is power and might and in Thine hand is to make great to give strength unto all.” Psalm 115:3, “Our God is in the heavens, He has done whatever He pleased.” Daniel 4:35, “He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth and none can stay His hand or say unto Him, ‘What are you doing?'” Scripture repeatedly affirms the sovereignly affirms the sovereignty of God over everything. God’s sovereignty is absolute, irresistible and infinite.

When we say that God is sovereign, we simply mean He has a right to be in charge of absolutely everything because He, in fact, is in charge of absolutely everything. That is why 1 Timothy 6:15 says, “He is the only potentate, or ruler. He is the only sovereign, the only monarch.” In Revelation 4:11 we read, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for You have created all things and for Your pleasure they are and were created.” “All things” is the operative phrase. Everything fits into God’s pleasure. Everything is to please God. Proverbs 16:4, “The Lord has made all things for Himself, even the wicked for the day of evil.” Even the wicked for the day of evil.

Listen to Deuteronomy 32:39. “See now that I, I am He…says God…and there is no God beside Me, it is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded. It is I who heal and there is no one who can deliver from My hand.” Or Exodus 4:11, “The Lord said to Moses, ‘Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I the Lord?'” Or Psalm 105:16, “He called for a famine upon the land.” Or 2 Kings 17:25, “They did not fear the Lord, therefore the Lord sent lions which killed some of them.” Scripture is very clear that God is behind what we would classify as good things and what we would classify as evil things, or bad things. God created out of His own free choice, uninfluenced, God created everything that is, ordained everything that is. And in 2 Samuel 10:12 it says, “The Lord does what seems to Him good.” The Lord does what seems to Him good.

Listen to Psalm 33:9 to 11. “He spoke and it was done. He commanded and it stood fast. The Lord brings the counsel of the heathen to naught, He makes the devices of the people of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.” Or Psalm 103:19, “The Lord has prepared His throne in the heavens. His Kingdom rules over all.” Or Isaiah 14:27, “The Lord of host has purposed and who shall disannul it? His hand is stretched out, who shall turn it back?” Or Isaiah 46:9 and 10, “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, there is none else, I am God. There is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times to things that are not yet done, saying My counsel shall stand, I will do all My pleasure.” First Samuel 2:6 to 8, “The Lord kills and makes alive. He brings down to the grave, and brings up. He makes poor and makes rich. He brings low and lifts up.” Or Amos 3:6, “If there is a calamity in the city, will not the Lord have done it?”
Isaiah 45:5 “I am the Lord, there is no other. Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you though you have not known Me that men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, there is no other.” That’s fairly well established in those two verses. “I am the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity. I am the Lord who does all these.” Go down to verse 9. “Woe to the one who quarrels with His maker. An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth? Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the things you are making say, ‘He has no hands.’ Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’ Or to a woman, ‘To what are you giving birth?’ No pot can tell the potter what to do. No born child can tell his parents to give birth or not give birth. Nor can you question what God does.” And God clearly has ordained evil.

God controls absolutely everything. There is no evil outside His plan. There is no evil outside His purpose. He knows everything that can be known, that is knowable. He has comprehensive power to do everything that can be done that is possible. That is what the Bible says about God. And in that perfect knowledge, and in that perfect power, and with perfect holiness, and expressing His perfect love, God ordains everything.

To design a God with limited knowledge, to design a God with limited power, to design a God who is more concerned about the will of every single human being than His own will is to design a God that is not the biblical God. If God is not in total control of evil, if He has not ordained it, listen, and if He does not have it under complete control at every millisecond of history, then this universe is out of control at the most crucial point. If God is not in control of this completely, then how and when will He get the knowledge and the power to get it under control? And I would ask you this. Would you rather have a God trying to get control of evil, or a God completely in control of it? Take your choice. But the God of the Bible is complete control of evil for His own purposes. It is really heresy to say that the world is full of evil apart from a predetermined plan and purpose by God that is far above the willy-nilly choices of people.

Evil exists. God exists. God wills evil to exist. He did not create it. He could not create it. But He did not prevent it. He ordained it. He willed it. Here it comes, listen carefully…because He had a purpose for it….He had a purpose for it…a purpose. This is critical. He had a purpose for evil.

What is that purpose that God had for evil? The reason for God ordaining evil is for the praise of His glory. Let me ask you a simple question to help you answer the question…the bigger question. Is God more glorious because of sin existing or less glorious? Pretty easy question to answer, isn’t it? That really is the ultimate question. Throughout all the eons of eternity will God receive more glory from His creatures because sin existed, or less? And, friends, that’s really all that matters is the eternal glory of God.

Read Job chapter 38 and in chapter 42 “Job answered the Lord, said, ‘I know You can do all things.'” I affirm that You’re the God that Scripture says You are and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have declared that which I do not understand, things too wonderful for me which I didn’t know. This is the right response, I don’t even know what I’m talking about. Hear now and I’ll speak, I’ll ask you and do you instruct me?

And then I love this. “I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, now my eyes sees Thee, therefore I retract and I repent in dust and ashes.” Tough talk and Job buckles and says “God, I have no right to question You, You are God and You have every right to put Your glory on full display.”

And evil makes that happen. We will spend forever and ever in the presence of God extolling Him in ways that never would be possible had He not allowed and ordained without ever creating or being the source of it the evil that temporarily dominates the creation. And in His perfect timing, it will all be over and He will destroy this entire universe in a holocaust described by Peter as the elements melting with fervent heat and the creation of a new heaven and a new earth in which only eternal righteousness exists, but we will forever worship with an understanding of the full display of His glory.

  41. DBD Says:

I agree with the major premise of your article that God is not in full control of the world because you have very good scriptural evidence to back it up. Thank you for that because I was looking for a good way to explain it to others. However, your explanation of the sinfulness of homosexuality is a lie. I hope that you are open to hearing the unadulterated word of God, which NEVER said “homosexuality is a sin”, but was interpreted as so by the majority of present day christians. I believe in the model that we ought to let the scriptures interpret themselves. But in order to do that we must STUDY to show thyself approved, a workman unashamed rightly dividing the word of God. Any individual or church can separate a few scriptures, interpret them using their own understanding (upon which God tells us not to rely) and use it against anyone else. What does the bible say is sin? The bible never said homosexuality is sin. Although some homosexuals and heterosexuals and bisexuals and asexuals commit sin, each specific sexual orientation is not a sin. In fact, it is a lie of the devil. If satan can keep you confused about what sin truly is, then he can keep you contained. 1 John 1:7-10 explains that violation of the light that God has revealed to you is sin and James 1:22-25 explains how many christians deceive themselves by believing lies to be truth due to rejecting the light that God provides via His word by NOT doing His word. Anyway, this website has a great explanation of the issues concerning christian homosexuals ( It will present a different underrepresented interpretation of homosexuality that the moral majoritarians reject.

  42. DBD Says:

Another thing I was thinking is that even though God does not exercise full control in this world, we as christians ought to allow God to exercise full control of our respective lives due to the facts that God is in us and that we are not of the world. John 15:19 states “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” Since God cannot exercise full control over the world, He choses us out of the world, so that he can show us His will for our lives and that we may mature in Him allowing Him more and more control. Romans 12:2 states that ye must not be conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. There is a perfect will of God that the world will never submit to, but we as christians must submit by renewing our mind to the words and thoughts of God rather than keeping our mind set on the words and thoughts of the world. In Colossians 3:2 we are told to set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. In John 17:14-22, Jesus states I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. Philippians 2:1-3,5 states Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. But, all in all, Proverbs 19:21 tells us Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. So, even though God doesn’t exercise full control over the world, in the end things will happen the way God said it would anyway. Jesus will come back and the world will be judged. Amen!

  43. AC104 Says:

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

(1Timothy 1:10-11) and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

  44. DBD Says:

    Dear AC104,

Wow, sounds like a no-brainer right? Except for the fact that the translation from the greek to the english is flawed.

The word translated into the english termed “effeminate” in 1 Cor 6:9 comes from the greek word “malakos”. Both malakos and malakoi (its other form) mean “soft”. In fact, if you read Matthew 11:8, the word is correctly translated two times as soft and in Luke 7:25 it is correctly translated as soft. When malakos is applied to a person, as in 1 Cor 6:9, it would mean a person who is spineless or will not stand up for what he/she believes. If properly translated in 1 Cor 6:9, the word would not at all refer to a person’s sexuality, but to a heterosexual or homosexual who did not stand up for what he/she believes. Satan definitely wants christians to NOT stand up for what they believe, hence the ill-translated form of the word. Do you stand up for what you believe or are you scared to ask a friend/fellow employee to come to church with you. Do you talk about the gospel of Jesus to people shopping at the grocery store? If this were properly translated, christians would be compelled to judge themselves by questioning whether or not they were spineless, not to attack a certain minority population of people who are homosexual.

The greek word for people naturally inclined toward homosexuality that was used during Paul’s time is arrenokoites, but the greek word found in the scriptures is arsenokoites. Arrenokoites is NEVER used in scriptures. Just because one letter is different, doesn’t mean that arsenokoites equals arrenokoites. Arsenokoites refers to homosexual prostitution by heterosexual people as a form of religious worship. This was condemed by God in Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, and Deuteronomy 23:18. God called these acts that are falsely translated into english as homosexual abominations. The hebrew word for abomination is toebah. At first it was used to separate Israel from pagan people. Later on, it was used to describe being ritualistically unclean. So, at that time Israel was being told by God, not to do these false religious practices that included homosexual prostitution.

All in all, I think christians NEED to stick to the gospel of Jesus Christ (John 3:16), judge themselves rather than others (luke 6:37, matthew 7:3), let the Holy Spirit teach others about how the scriptures pertain to their respective lives (John 14:26) since only God knows their hearts (Luke 16:15, Psalm 19:14), study as in (2 Timothy 2:15), be doers of the word and NOT hearers only (James 1:22), let the scriptures interpret themselves (For example, John 3:16 does NOT say that For God so loved the heterosexuals that He gave his only begotten son, that whichever heterosexuals believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life, it says For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only begotten son that, WHOSOEVER believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.). I think we have a lot of work to do on our own lives than to prevent someone else from coming to God. Besides, if being a homosexual is sin than being a heterosexual is NOT sin, but that doesn’t make sense because if all one needs to do is be heterosexual to NOT be a sinner than that falsifies Romans 3:23, which states that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God is very clear about what is sin and what is NOT sin, so study what He said.

God told us that some people would renounce the faith, by paying attention to people who believed lies to be truth and paying attention to people who would forbid marriage. Sounds like what is stated in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 is happening to homosexuals right now. Many homosexuals renounce the faith by paying attention to majoritarian christians who state the lie that homosexuals are sinners and can’t enter the kingdom of God and by paying attention to majoritarian christians who forbid them to marry.

  45. AC104 Says:

    DBD (My brother in Christ),

First of all, I want to tell you that I never judge this people. My desire for them is to know the truth hoping that by God’s grace they will come to Christ. As to your little lecture about “greek translation”, I think you have to research more about those terms. I don’t even make a comment to your reply expecting that you will be more objective with regards to the scriptural truth that I have posted.

“Wow, sounds like a no-brainer right?” – This phrase is not good expression of people who consider themselves “Believers of Christ”. As a Christian who handles the truth, we must be more objective when somebody is giving his / her other side of comment, opinion or expression. (2Timothy 2:24-26) “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.” My dear brother, consider this not as an attack but as a rebuke with love. All of us received a truth in which we are responsible to entrust it to men who are able to teach others, this is our heart. It is wonderful to have a high regard for the truth, but zeal for the truth must be balanced by a love for people specially brethren, or it can give way to judgmentalism, harshness, and a lack of compassion.”

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for him to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true with homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).

  46. DBD Says:

Granted, I do have a tendency to be zealous in my pursuit of helping others know God’s truth. In this instance, I have encountered difficulty in doing what the Holy Spirit has prompted me to do in my heart. So, I do apologize for the comment that offended you. I do need to deal with that zealous attitude and I’m sure you can appreciate that God is dealing with me on that.

Did you visit the website, I told you about? It would greatly improve your understanding of my position on this subject.

We must include an analysis of translations of God’s scriptures because God has said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” But, if one mistranslates God’s Scripture with regard to homosexuals, then it won’t be useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training homosexuals in righteousness. In fact, are homosexuals accepted as they are in the majority of churches? Are homosexuals taught, rebuked, corrected, and trained in righteousness? No. Homosexuals are told to change before they can be taught, rebuked, corrected, and trained in righteousness. That presents a problem to them and to us. Because we are NOT following God’s Scriptures and homosexuals are NOT learning God’s Scriptures for their lives.

My argument remains the same. I only want to provide to you a different perspective on the argument. Remember when God said in Romans 13:8-10: “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not covet,’ and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

For a monogamous heterosexual couple who is married, what would be their responsibility to fulfill loving their neighbor as themselves? If their neighbors happen to be a monogamous homosexual couple who is being forbidden to marry, would not love will that the monogamous homosexual couple have a right to marry each other?

No one verse in the bible can cancel out other statements God has said, so that means that there exists a misunderstanding in the verses utilized to clobber homosexuals. Homosexuals, like heterosexuals desparately need to understand God’s way for living in this world and telling them that He doesn’t accept them as is, is unacceptable. This is a dangerous ideology that has been accepted by the majority of christians. If we want to be accepted by others, we must sow acceptance of others.

God never said that homosexual activity is a sin. He said homosexual activity in the use of worship is a sin. The word abomination is in each of those verses located in the old testament. And notice how the verse you quote in romans talks about not worshipping the real true God, but idols. You say: “God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God.” That is true, but why did he give them over to it? He gave them over to the false religious practices of having same sex relations because they worshipped the creation instead of the creator, as stated in verse 25. They were worshipping idols utilizing a false religious ritual of same sex. They were participating in homosexual activity in an act of false worship of God, not in the act of a monogomous loving relationship. Today’s homosexuals need to understand that God loves them, that christians love them and that God wants them to live in this world as christian homosexuals.

Here’s a second scenario: For a homosexual woman who is in denial about her sexuality, is it loving for her to marry any man with whom she has no attraction because the church tells her that to be with someone of the same sex with whom she is attracted to is wrong? If we are applying love here, then that would be wrong. A loving act by this woman would be to not marry any man, but to seek a monogamous relationship with a homosexual woman with whom a mutual attraction exists. That man would be saved from a marriage with someone who is not attracted to him.

We have to ask ourselves which love commandment is the homosexual orientation breaking, love of others or love of God? If only considering homosexual orientation neither. What about the false religious practice of same sex? Which love commandment is the false religious practice of same sex breaking, love of others or love of God? Both because any group of people or person believing that in order to worship their god one must have same sex relations, is misleading themselves in their act of worship and causing themselves to be cursed breaking the love of others commandment and any person falsley worshipping their god using same sex is breaking the commandment to love God as evidenced by their disrespect of God. John 4:24 states that “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Those people who committed these sinful acts made up a fleshy tradition of having same sex relations in order to “worship” their gods and/or their idols. That was the sin. They were attempting to justify themselves by giving in to their lustful desires and believing it to be an act of worship.

  48. P Hall Says:

There are a few flaws in this article but I will only state the first and more prevalent one. God does not cause everything to happen, but He does allow them. We as humans have free will, that means we can chose to go against what God would like for us to do, but we cannot change His ultimate plan. For instance, if the road we normally travel is closed we have to take a detour. That means we go down a road we didn’t plan on but we still wind up in the same place we intended.
Sometimes things happen because God wills it, sometimes it is because lack of mercy, whatever the reason it doesn’t mean God loses respect, it means we must examine ourselves closer.
    God Bless

There are also flaws in your views.

I did not cause your boat to sink. I only chose not to warn you when I knew it was damaged before you took it to the sea.

You have your own free will. It is not your business to support or resist God’s ultimate plan. God gives you your life. Your business is to live it.

If you road is blocked, you don’t have to do any detour. You can always choose to cancel your trip. You don’t have to wind up in the same place.

Let me give you the ultimate truth that is beyond the comprehension of all the theologians combined:God is good and good means good.

God will never will evil to happen. If you take a knife and stab yourself with it, it is your will not God’s. If God really wills you to kill yourself, he will have lost the respects from people with integrity. You are right. You should examine yourself closer.

We must each work out our own salvation with our Father through Jesus Christ.
This has definitely given a new dynamic to my prayer-life. By this I mean-praying for unity and discouraging division in the body of Christ.

I have a questions: I had a misacarriage a few months ago and he would have been born in a few weeks, if you say satan comes to kill steal and destroy, did he take my son to make me unhappy and depressed? is my unborn son in hell? or did God take him because he knew this world was too evil ? Did God take him because he knew I’d be out of a job and unable to take care of him? Im saddened and confused on who really controlled the death of my son.

  54. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

If God is really a pervert who kills babies because the world is too evil, then he should kill all the babies in this world.

If God is really a pervert who kills babies because their parents are unemployed, then all the babies of the unemployed must be killed.

Why must yours be so special? Do you have any respect for such a ‘God’?

  55. salina Says:

I dont get what your trying to tell me…? But I will take a stab at it if i may..
I think you’re trying to tell me that God didn’t take my son just because of my unfortunate unemployment and because I was only 19. I do have respect for God. Respect is an understatement to say the least, I love him and all that he’s given me, including his son and including this day. I wish to grow an amazing relationship with him everyday. Please elaborate.

  56. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

My message is: God is not a pervert. So what it you are 19, pregnant and jobless? Does this give anyone the right to murder your unborn baby?

Suppose there is someone who goes around looking for teenage, pregnant and unemployed girls in order to kill their unborn babies. What will you think will happen if this person get caught? Do you have any respect for this person? What if he tells you that his motive is to protect those unborn babies from the evil world? Will this make him less guilty? If you are the jury in his trial, will you pronounce him innocent?

Here is the last question. What if he has a name card that says he is God? Will it make any difference.

Being a Christian does not mean stop using our brains and moral judgement. Since our morality comes from God, will it be logical that he must also share the same morals? Can a wrong act become right just because the person who commits it happens to beGod?

    1 Corinthians 13
    The Greatest Gift
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Wow! Try learning from each other. None of us are gonna know the answers to everything, thats why its so important to study and stay in the word so our Lord can teach us and share his wisdom with us as we grow in our spiritual journey. Theres so much to learn and understand. I am a christian as well and I am learning everyday. I gotta say it broke my heart to see believers of the same God and cause arguing about God and his word. Not a good example for those who are knew believers or for those who are searching for him and find this site. How do you expect to build his kingdom(which were all called to do) by arguing? Job 2:6 – “And the Lord said to Satan, ‘behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life’.”

Psalm 33:10-11 – “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.”

James 4:13-15 – “Come now, you who say, ‘today or tomorrow we will go into such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit’ – yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, ‘if the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that’.”

Isaiah 45:7 – “I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things,”
Lamentations 3:38-39 – “Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and bad come? Why should a living man complain, a man, about the punishment of his sins?”

I Samuel 2:6-8 – “The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts. He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a sear of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and on them he has set the world.”

  66. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Megan, these are just verses. Period.

  67. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Get real JD. Modern day Christians are worshippers of doctrines. To them God is only an anstrument to their doctrines. Jesus sacrifices doctrines for the welfare of the people. Today’s churches sacrifice people for the sake of doctrines.

  68. Megan Says:

What do you mean they are just verses? You don’t think they matter even though they are in the Bible? Or did I misunderstand you?

  69. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

I don’t worship them. Neither will I let them control me. God has given me a functional brain. I intend to use it. As long as those verses can be used fir my prosperity, I use them. If not, I put them away. I am the master of my Bible.

  70. Josiah Says:

So, if you are about to commit murder, but then you remember one of the ten commandments (Exodus 20:13), you would merely choose to ignore it? That’s not modern Christianity, that is a just Satan working his way into the Truth.

  71. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

I don’t commit murder because I don’t want to. Not because of the 10 Commandments.

  72. altair Says:

The way Yeap Chee Seng answer every question clearly shows that he is not a Christian at all and he is not a lover of truth… Those who can discern, you better stop asking him questions because he will not give you pure and honest Biblical answer. Just as he says: “I am the master of my Bible”. Tsk… Tsk… Tsk…

2Tim 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

2Tim 3:16-17 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

2Tim 4:2-4 “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”

  73. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Being a Christian is a personal choice. The ability to answer questions clearly and honestly does not disqualify this choice.

By the way, I can also quote verses to support my view.

  74. ac104 Says:

That’s true but always bear in mind that we choose to believe in Jesus Christ because He first chose us (1 Jn 4:19). Scripture tells us that for us to choose Christ, God must first change our heart, we must first be born- again. He gives us a desire for Himself that we otherwise would not have. Then we choose Him out of that desire that is within us. We freely choose Him because we want to choose Him. The grace of God isn’t something that pushes us against our will towards Christ; it is something that draws us willingly to Him.

John 6:37 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”
John6:44 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.’
John 6:65 “And He was saying, “For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”

We are saved not because we chose to believe but because God in His sovereignty caused us draw to Christ and believe in Him when the gospel was preached. Salvation is for the glory of God not for the glory of man. It is determined by God who works all things according to the counsel of His own will (Eph 1:11) and not by the sinners free corrupted will.

James 1:17-18 “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.”

  75. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Based on what you wrote, God must also have chosen me to be a non mindless drone.

  76. ARG Says:

That’s why believers are also called “Born-again Christian” because the analogy makes it clear; It is impossible for someone to do something in order to be born. The notion that there is a way to get born again, there is a way to become born again or our free corrupted will can save us shows how superficially we understand Scripture. The person being born coming into existence, comes into existence apart from any desire or any action on his own behalf. Birth happens to us not because we desire it, not because we want it, or not because we followed the steps to be born. No one gives himself physical life, and no one gives himself or herself spiritual life. There are no steps that you do to become alive, either physically or spiritually. So being born again or being regenerated clearly an analogy that speaks of something that happens to us apart from us (see: Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:3-7).

(Romans 8:7-8) “because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
(1Corinthians 2:14) “But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.”
(2Corinthians 4:3-4) “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
(Ephesians 2:1-3) “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.”

The fall left human will intact insofar as we still have the faculty of choosing. Our minds have been darkened by sin and our desires bound by wicked impulse. But we can still think, choose, and act. We are free to choose what we want, however sinners are not free to choose their nature which is dead in tresspasses and sin. We have lost all desire for God. The freedom of our will is a curse. Becasue we can still choose according to our desires, we choose to sin and thus we become accountable to the judgment of God (Jer 13:23; Jn 8:43-44; Rom 3:10-23; Rom 6:20; Eph 4:17-19; Tit 1:15).

But until our heart is changed by the Holy Spirit, we have no desire for Christ. Without that desire we will never choose Him. God must awaken our soul and give us desire for Christ before we will be inclined to choose Him. Only by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit may we be brought out of this state of being spiritual death. It is God who makes us alive as we become His craftmanship.

(Jeremiah 31:31-33) “Behold, days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD, I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (cf: Ezek 36:26-27; Heb 9:15; 10:16) SOLI DEO GLORIA!

  77. ac104 Says:

Well said brother! Let us hope that those people who claim to be Christians will one day understand the fact that people are totally depraved and spiritually dead. Only by the power of the sovereign God that believers understand the gospel and believe in Jesus Christ. May we all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior.

  86. S. Says:

my dear boy you have it part of the way but if God isn’t in control than how do you explain the cross? Was that not God’s plan? Then if it was, then God allowed the bad thing to happen to Jesus for our good, being nailed and crucified on the cross. If God is not in complete control then Christ wouldn’t have died the way He did. God uses Satan without him even knowing it to accomplish His will for His glory. If satan does something wrong He rights its with through His people. Evil doesn’t come from God it all comes from satan but God can use satan’s wrong doings to turn it around for the good of man…strengthening our trust, our integrity, our love, our faith. God patiently makes a move to counter act what satan does so good comes from it. We as feeble humans that we are have to understand and trust that God is in control that’s our job as Christians. It’s all about HIM not us we are His tool to glorify Him and we should be so honored. God can harden your heart toward coffee if He wanted to. But Im sure that He has bigger things He’s doing than to show you magician tricks.
I do understand where you are coming from and you have it part right but dear Yeap Chee, please read on in the great word of God and He will show you more it you are willing.

  88. Tessy Roch Says:

Thank I am just writing a book title: Spitual Warfare overview, your topic make very good senses to me. Thanks

  89. Lei O. Says:

before we were even born, our Lord God knows exactly what is going to happen to us, all the good and bad. and we are given equal chances of choosing from right and wrong. with satan trying to lure us in deception and all, we have to maintain our trust and faith in God for ever. in our minds we do know what is wrong and right but we tend to do wrong by the way we think, how we talk and walk. why because we always in to the want, and want, and more wants and that will get us in to trouble mose of the time from our childhood to teenage years to adult. but if we focus in trusting Gods word and an everlasting life in haven, we can conquer the devil and his army.

  90. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Each time we move out from our comfort zone to progress in life, there will always be the risk of doing wrong. Yet we still do it. Why? Because we are humans, made in the image of God. We are always in want because we are not animals.

  97. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

  98. Corey Noble Says:

I believe this is insightful. I feel though that in effort to differentiate Satan and God you adversely miss a few points. You mention God and Satan in a war, and after Christ died the authority was given to us. However, I feel that our authority, as you mention it, is our free-will, which was given to us as a result of Adam and Eve’s actions. It is just as one-side or naive to say that God influences only good. The Bible says that with Christ’s death that the war was already won, and that the victory was ours. While Satan has his own power, is it really that Satan controls the world, or that he merely influences it. I believe that it legitimate to say that God allows humanly amoral things to happen. Many say God is not a wrathful god; however, how might you explain Joshua’s battle of Jericho and his defending of Israel. If at the same time you say God is only merciful, you cannot explain why God-fearing men and women are allowed trials and at the same time told by the Bible to trust in the Lord, and to lean upon his understanding. There is something to be said about the presence of Satan, and his pull on worldly events. But it is paramount we know God is all powerful, he is the beginning and the end,and he, like all of his covenants, which do not disappear, will hold true and deliver us from evil.
    Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
We must not bother ourselves with trying to understand why he does allow certain hardships, but know that he will provide.
    Isaiah 46:9
I am God, and there is none like me,
declaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done. He knows all, and none is a mistake.

  99. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

That is a very carnal viewpoint, which I am sure is shared by many churches. Here is the truth:

If our free will is a result of Adam and Eve’s actions, then they should be celebrated as true creators of numan beings. They have practically transformed our species from mindless drones into real humans capable of free will.

Joshua’s acts of committing genocide to the Canaanits is completely evil and a crime against humanity. I am sure no human being with some microscopic moral will ever endorse the actions of this terrorist. As human beings we do not endorse murder, even if the murder is endorsed by God.

If God-fearing men and women are allowed trials, then the only solution is not to be God fearing. I don’t know about you but I am not a pervert. If I get punished for obeying God, then I will not do it.

The reason we bother ourselves to understand why he never allow any hardships at all is because we are human beings, not perverts. We choose to believe that our creator is also a non pervert.

Seek first the kingdom of GOD and HIs righteousness; and every other thing will be added unto you (Matt 6:33).
Though it is not the will of GOD for us to suffer, sick, face difficulties, disappointments…., (Jer 29:11) but at times GOD allows them for one reason or the other may be to learn lessons, turn us from our evil ways or even let some suffering ones escape through death and come to enjoy with HIM in heaven ( According to the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus). There is nothing in the world, it is full of trials and tribulations………….
let me tell u sth u do not understand; Christ did not promise us an easy road. He said we should take up our cross and follow Him. We are expected to take up our cross (sickness, bad times, difficulties…..) and follow Jesus Christ. We must deny ourselves of certain things, we must suffer the flesh. Luke 9:23-26.
With great trust in the Lord at all times we shall excel over our difficulties.
Unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone but if it dies it bears much fruit. He who loves His life will lose it….. (John 12:24-25). The Gospel of Christ is salvation and repentance, then any other thing would be added unto you. (Matt 6:33).
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few, (Matt 7:14).
Again i say to you; seek first the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness; and every other thing will be added unto you.

  104. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Read the article again. Meditate on the verse until you understand

  105. galatia313 Says:

Hi Yeap Chee Seng. Alot of this article is heading in the right direction. I love the encouragement to have faith. It’s important to remember some difficult & painful trials dont feel good at the now, but doesnt mean its from satan just because It hurts. Faith means trust God even during trials; in all circumstance have peace (Phil 4:11) and thanksgiving. Enjoy wealth, success, and happy times, but these will fade away. It is a mature Christian who trust and loves God regardless of the prosperity or poverty. Prosperity, good health, & success are only tools we use. Our real calling is LOVE. This outweighs all else.

Pain & difficulty does not mean Satan is in charge. Consider fasting its uncomfortable but brings closeness to God. Child birth is extreme pain but brings forth life, baby learns to walk but must falls & gets scars many times, but eithout the pain she would forever rely on others to carry her. People experience moments if pain & death, but live eternally in everlasting joy with God. But the pain and even lack, its just a part of Gods ultimate plan as Jer 29:11 says I know the plans I have for you, to prosper you, and give you hope and a future. Faith trust God through it all and dares not question His plan, even if it doesnt feel nice momentarily. So death/eternal life, tears/joy winter/summer are created by God for His purposes. True faith trusts God in all circumstances and dies not accuse Him of being satan just because we dont like it when we are sick, have bills due, etc… We know the blessing is coming now or in glory; For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2Cor4:17)
[p.s. I agree prayer cannot be forced in any one let children learn to pray at home or in church, the teachers are generally not qualified to bring ‘spiritual guidance’ or even gaurunteed to pray to the same God. What a mess were in for if it’s made mandatory were opening up possibilities of introducing prayer to anything & everything under the sun)

  106. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. Once you can understand this truth, you will never think of God as a devil again.

  107. galatia313 Says:

Hi again. Let me agree with you on this, God is the all powerful alpha and omega. (the devil is a finite being that will be destroyed soon). You are correct! God is not the devil by any means.

***BAD***the devil STEAL’s: takes by force with evil purpose; the devil KILL’s: unjustified death and murder hoping you will never rise again; the devil DESTROY’s:unjustly, and with evil intent ATTEMPTS to discourage us by damaging what belongs to us.

***GOOD***GOD however allows TRIALS (sometimes)~just momentary losses that ultimately will end blessings ~ all things will work out for good. GOD (sometimes)~allows momentary TRIBULATIONS: as Job did, so will we receive the greatest blessings with endurance and faith. SLEEP(momentary DEATH): when we are absent from the body to be present with HIM.

    Take Care 🙂

  108. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

As a non pervert I do not allow perversion. If God is so irresponsible to allow evil, he should resign his post. I do not tolerate incompetent Gods.

  112. DeeTheNew Breed Says:

I lost my baby in 2005 when she was only 43 days old to SIDS. My family “consoled” me by saying things like, ” God just needed more angels” or ” God picks the prettiest flowers for His Kingdom”. Though i appreciated their efforts to console me, their words brought no comfort. If i were to believe this, I would have to believe that God killed my sweet little baby and other little babies too!! Thank God for my Aunt Shirley ( RIP). She sat me down and told me that these beliefs were tricks of the devil so we would have indifference with The Creator. She asked me, ” How can anyone love a God who constantly- everyday kills babies?” No one could love a baby killer – no matter how much faith they have or say they have. That is when she taught me about the purpose of satan is to kill and destroy so that we may turn from The Father. It made more sense to me than anything I ever heard.

  113. galatia313 Says:

I empathize with you, I have also lost loved ones very precious and dear to me, my heart goes out to you.

I am concerned for those that would say, God killed the baby too, (or my mother when I was just a baby myself) because He allows freewill in this world (and the consequences of freewill that allow people to experience death). For the war widow who says me too! My husband was good, how could he be allowed to experience death?, even the mother of a problem child who says, it’s not fair, if only my son were given a chance to change his life he wouldn’t have been killed in gang violence, couldnt God prevent his death by changing him into a good child?. The toddler hurt by a drunk driver? Even all of the TRILLIONS & BILLIONS of TRILLIONS of people over time that all cried out~ It’s NOT fair! How could you allow anyone to die? Restore the dead to life NOW!!! we demand it! Prove to us You are a GOOD GOD! If you don’t stop or prevent death, we wont love You anymore! What kind of God allows babies, youth, teens, adults, good, or even problem people to die?

I’m even concerned for those who would apply that logic to parents thinking ‘wrongly’ how could loving people use there *FREEWILL* to bring the baby into the world knowing full well that a child might die, face sickness, fall and hurt their knees, and eventually sin, receive heartaches & pain, etc. as a result of FREEWILL (and sin that entered the world through Adam & Eve). I SAY NO! IT WAS LOVING TO ALLOW THE CHILD TO BE BORN, AND LOVINIG FOR GOD TO ALLOW ALL MEN THE CHANCE TO LIVE EVEN THOUGH ‘WE’ BROUGHT SIN INTO HIS PERFECT WORLD. God did not promise that He would never allow people to die, death was introduced into the world through man, He could have simply wiped all humans off the earth, and ended it back at the garden, But NO, like those parents WHO KNEW FULL WELL BIRTH & LIFE WILL EVENTUALLY END IN DEATH Now or in the future… because of FREEWILL and it’s consequences, BUT GOD PROVIDED A SAVIOR who saves us from ETERNAL death, though momentary death will be here until the end of this age.

This will be the last time I write anything because his website/blog is what the swine loves to roll in. Just stop reading this Blog. Focus on God’s word.. Get yourselves into a bible based church. Yeap Chee Seng, just stop. Please repent. Good bye. Show others you are a true Christ follower and live in the spirit by not responding to this message. Don’t go by your flesh!! You are right but it could be confusing to a person who does not have the full understanding of Gods work. For example you ask God to give you a wife and he did. If you abuse your wife God does not come every second to punish you for your works but does not mean that you will go free. If satan or man abuses the works of God they will pay on their proper time. Sorry it is a detailed topic to go on. The Second point is if a thief robes your house you are also responsible for not protecting your property. But there is also the day of Judgement when God pays every one according to his works. hope you get my idea a bit

The one who comes to kill- steal & destroy is Satan not The One True God- God does not cause sickness He allows sickness- Man & Man alone brings much on himself by the choices he makes- just as your own earthly father allows his children to go thru trials even when he could for example pay your way out– but in the trial you are being taught a good lesson- the same is true for the one true God & His son
Jesus Christ – you have the apple which has 3 parts the peeling the flesh and the core they all serve different purpose but they are all apple- the same as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit the Trinity–
God the Father, HIS Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit who God sent to live in us who accepts His Son Jesus……….Amen

At first reading this I was like what the heck someone mocking God’s word again, but I read on and I agree God does not cause sickness it is satan God heals his faithful and helps us through. We are all sinners, we can never be Christ like we can only repent our sins, and continue our walk with God by being faithful to his word, and we will fail at times. That is when we work harder to honor God! I will be reading more and following. God bless

    Hi Yeap Chee Seng,
First, I just want to thank you for your effort to expound 1Jn4:4. I could sense you have a passionate love for God & His infallible Word. But I would like to call your attention that largely, you commented on your chosen text instead of focusing on extracting the meaning of the passage based on its context. And the contextual meaning of your text has to do w/ the immediately preceding verses all the way up to verse 1 of 1Jn4. John was talking of the spirit of the antichrist that was in their world already back in the 1st century. It was also the expanded explication of 1Jn2:15 up to v.24, again that talks of the prophecied antichrist that had come during the last hour of the 1st century. Of course other than the issue of the antichrist, John talks also about them overcoming the world & their security found in the revelation of Jesus as the Christ who resides w/in them.

This is all for now & God bless bro.

I have seen all what everybody has posted, but I am not here to oppose or propose anybody’s comment. I am here to ask questions and be cleared on the issues we all are debating: ‘Does God allow everything (Good, Bad and Evil) that is happening willing to happen under his authority. In Genesis, it was the serpent that tempted Eve to eat of the apple that God asked them not to eat. Does this serpent represent Satan? Could it have been that if it was Adam that the serpent tempted first, he would have rejected? If the serpent represented Satan, I believe that God was not sleeping when all these took place, but he chose to respond after Adam had eaten it. I believe too this means that due to the prior instructions God gave them concerning the forbidden fruit, he willing allowed them to decide their own faith… am I correct?

  146. Joyce Hum Says:

Read Rev. 12. God allowed even the angels to have choice. I believe that evil is allowed by God in order to give us choice. He made us to have free will because He wanted us to choose to love and follow Him, Adam and Eve sinned against God because they had the right to. They listened to satan who lied and tempted them to sin and because they had a God given right to choice, they chose sin and dammed all humanity. God had a plan to redeem broken humanity. This plan is Jesus, Jesus BLOOD was spilled first and foremost for God, it was an atonement for sin.

Today we all still have the right of choice. God will reveal Christ to us but we must make the final choice. To reject or accept. Choice Jesus, be born again by the spirit of God, and receive the forgiveness of all sin because of His atoning BLOOD. This allows us to enter eternity with Jesus, Also as we live, we must know that through Jesus all our sin, the sin of the old self, was nailed on the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did away with sin forever. The Spirit of God, works within us to reveal this fact. He leads us into the perfect rightousness of Jesus Christ. Again, this is done through our choice. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the sin of the old self, our role is to acknowledge and confess it before God and acknowledge that it was paid for and it was also nailed to the cross of Christ. The sin will then disappear and be removed forever from us. What we forget is that we are born with a sin nature therefore we all sin. Christ died and paid for sin once and for all. This is a free gift from God and can never be obtained through what we consider good works.

Where does the fallen angels fit into this. Again I suggest that you read Rev 12. The special angel that wanted to be in control instead of God, got about one third of the angels to follow him. They did not want to leave heaven but were forced to leave during a great battle . They were thrown down to earth. Read the last verse of Rev. 12. Here we find their ultimate goal. It is truly a warning to us. Satin’s goal is to make war with The followers of God and followers of Jesu Christ.

I truly believe that ultimately that there is one God who reveals himself as the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. Our God has the power to direct and control all. However, He has chosen to allow both good and evil, which gives us a choice. We are allowed by God, because He gave us that right at the beginning of creation, to choose. He wants us to choice Him out of love. God gets His glory because He is God. He is a God who is love, a God who is humble. and God who cares for all His creation. Read Jeremiah to see how God pleads with His Chosen People to turn away from their sin. He did not want to have them destroyed. He spoke through Jeremiah but they choose to do what they wanted to do.

Because all sin was paid for by Jesus Christ, and as we accept this truth, the evil one and his followers no longet have the legal right to be part of our lives. However, they continue to try and temp and trick us through lies. Our part is to know what the WORD of God tells us about this. 1 John 4, tells us to test every spirit, it also makes clear that their is an enemy of Christ. But we must take hold of the fact that greater is He who in in us (The Spirit of the living God) than he (satan) who is in the world. We must never forget that we are everyday, every hour in a battle. The battle is for our soul. God wants us to choose life in Him through Jesus Christ. There is no other way.

Do not get caught up in arguments about what is sin and what is not. The Holy Spirit of God will reveal to you what has been nailed to the cross of Jesus Christ. And actually is is all of self. In order to live we must die. BUT GOD HIMSELF HAS PROVIDED A WAY. PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD.
    In His LOVE

Can u please explain the connection.

  150. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

Henry. I think your question is worth answering. There can only be 2 possible answer.

    1. God is not in full control as I have explained in this post. He wants the good stuff but powerless in preventing the bad. He needs our help.

    2. God is in full control but he is an complete pervert, He created both the good and the bad just because no one can stop him.

    Is God Responsible for Evil
    John MacArthur

If God is sovreign, is He responsible for evil? Is God responsible for evil?

No. Scripture says that when God finished His creation, He saw everything and declared it “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Many Scriptures affirm that God is not the author of evil: “God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone” (James 1:13). “God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). “God is not the author of confusion” (1 Corinthians 14:33)-and if that is true, He cannot in any way be the author of evil.

Occasionally someone will quote Isaiah 45:7 (KJV) and claim it proves God made evil as a part of His creation: “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things” (emphasis added).

But the New American Standard Bible gives the sense of Isaiah 45:6-7 more clearly: “There is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.” In other words, God devises calamity as a judgment for the wicked. But in no sense is He the author of evil.

Evil originates not from God but from the fallen creature. I agree with John Calvin, who wrote,

. . . the Lord had declared that “everything that he had made . . . was exceedingly good” [Gen. 1:31]. Whence, then comes this wickedness to man, that he should fall away from his God? Lest we should think it comes from creation, God had put His stamp of approval on what had come forth from himself. By his own evil intention, then, man corrupted the pure nature he had received from the Lord; and by his fall drew all his posterity with him into destruction. Accordingly, we should contemplate the evident cause of condemnation in the corrupt nature of humanity-which is closer to us-rather than seek a hidden and utterly incomprehensible cause in God’s predestination. [Institutes, 3:23:8]

It is helpful, I think, to understand that sin is not itself a thing created. Sin is neither substance, being, spirit, nor matter. So it is technically not proper to think of sin as something that was created. Sin is simply alack of moral perfection in a fallen creature. Fallen creatures themselves bear full responsibility for their sin. And all evil in the universe emanates from the sins of fallen creatures.

It is technically not proper to think of sin as something that was created. Sin is simply a lack of moral perfection in a fallen creature. For example, Romans 5:12 says that death entered the world because of sin. Death, pain, disease, stress, exhaustion, calamity, and all the bad things that happen came as a result of the entrance of sin into the universe (see Genesis 3:14-24). All those evil effects of sin continue to work in the world and will be with us as long as sin is.

First Corinthians 10:13 promises us that God will not permit a greater trial than we can bear. And James 1:13 tells us that God will not tempt us with evil.

God is certainly sovereign over evil. There’s a sense in which it is proper even to say that evil is part of His eternal decree. He planned for it. It did not take Him by surprise. It is not an interruption of His eternal plan. He declared the end from the beginning, and He is still working all things for His good pleasure (Isaiah 46:9-10).

But God’s role with regard to evil is never as its author. He simply permits evil agents to work, then overrules evil for His own wise and holy ends. Ultimately He is able to make all things-including all the fruits of all the evil of all time-work together for a greater good (Romans 8:28).

I truly do feel sorry you feel this way. I am not saying this in judgment or hatred of you, I just wish that you could experience the truth of what it is that I know. That I have experienced. I too have gone through terrible times, times that would cause most to lose their faith. But you see, the Bible – God – never promised an easy life. He specifically said it wouldn’t be. He only said He would see you through the storm. That even though it may be dark, and you may not understand, that everything has a purpose. One we cannot fathom. That there is always a bigger reason than we can see. That’s what keeps me going in hard times. It’s what I can look back on and be grateful for when I finish my walk through the hard times; and though I may not be completely the same, I know that what I learned was to make me wiser and stronger. I put faith in the Lord because I truly have felt what it feels like to be in His divine presence, to feel him comfort me. Because I have come face to face with a real demon. In my own mother, no less. But the Scripture you quote isn’t just cannonfodder for fools, it’s the truth. God is greater than all adversity, than the devil, and any probkem you face. His want is for everyone to be happy in the light. To be with Him where he can build you up. He thinks you’re perfect. The Holy Spirit wants to take residence inside you so you can face down the things that you cannot see but are there. Watching you, and wanting you to stay in the dark. And let me tell you, when the Holy Spirit washes through, when that fire fills your veins, and you feel all over yourself and deep within you bones love and acceptance and finally whole…there will never be anything that compares. Its amazing. I wish I could help you see that, but you have to really, truly want that for yourself. No one can make you. I’m not going to try and make you, or try to convert you. It’s a personal choice. I just wanted to share why I believe as I do, because you did. I feel as though both atheists and Christians can get along, because there shouldn’t be a war between the two. But unfortunately there is. I am sorry that some of my fellow Christians do not understand how to respect your beliefs, please accept my apology. It really is sincere. God never said to be an attack dog, nor be annoying. He said to love one another. In return, please respect my beliefs.

  159. Bas Says:

I have very few words for all who read and respond to this article by Yeap Chee Seng.
Our small human brain is too little to comprehend the immensity and greatness of God. Lets remember that we are limited to know even the smallest part of God. Isaiah 55.8 “For my thought are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways, says the Lord”.
Jesus it the perfect example for the explanation of evil and the glory of God, Christ even though he was God, gave himself into the power of man and by extension the evil plots of man, for a purpose. When they were perpetrating evil on Jesus and crucifying him, they jeered at him thinking they were winning. They succeeded in killing him and eventually he was buried, But God has the last chapter to write, it is titled, “The Resurrection of Jesus Christ”.
Lastly, because we do not know and think as God thinks, often what comes to us humans as terrible pain and suffering and evil, God may see differently from the perspective of his Divine Plan. We must be careful not curse God in the things we say. Once we were never born, we never existed, but one day the creator calls us into existence, we were conceived in our mother’s womb, helpless, knowing nothing. We were born into the world, helpless and entirely dependent upon God, represented by our parents. We are fed, clothed and sheltered and slowly our immature minds begin to learn from the world and one day, we are full grown. Now we have a mind of our own. The first thing we do is to notice our imperfections, our powerlessness and our insecurities. We then question our creation, our being, the creator. We blame him who made us without our permission and offer him corrections as to how we would have like to be. That is the story of the pot and the potter in reference to Isaiah 45. God bless all

  160. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

    Here is my advice:

Don’t blame yourself because your brains is too small to comprehend God. You did not create yourself.

Don’t waste time blaming God either. Take your own initiative to live the life you want. Many people have done that and so can you.

  161. Rev. Solomon Ninkaabs Mamah Says:

NO Satan can defeat you Greater is he that is in you than he ,Satan than he that is in the world

  163. Renita R.Hill Says:

That was a very good read! I would like to here more on “free will”.

  164. Donna Newby Says:

(in reply to Yeap Chee Seng, who posted on January 28, 2008)

God created everything, including free-will. He will not force us to be who He knows we can be, but invites us into a relationship with Him through Jesus. This relic ship is only possible because Jesus Christ died on the cross for us to take away the penalty of our sins. Sins separate us from God, so in order to be made right with God again, so we can have a relationship with Him, we need to accept Jesus for who He is and what He did for us, and to acknowledge we are sinners and ask for forgiveness. Sincerely ask God to show you the His truth, and come into your life. (please look up salvation prayer). Without turning to God and building that relationship, which is only made possible through the sacrifice that Jesus made for you, Heaven is not a place you can go to…in the Holy Bible, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one sees the Father except through me.” John 14:6

If you do not have a relationship with God, then you won’t understand God’s Word (that is the Holy Bible), nor will you understand who God is and why the world is the way it is.

Aft praying the salvation prayer to God, you need to read the Bible and pray (talk to God) to get to know God and build a relationship with Him, and understand why things are the way they are. As a Christian, I don’t know the reason for everything, nor do I know everything, but God reveals to me what I do need to know. God knows what we need to know, it won’t reveal things to you if you are not His.

Only those who are Christians and have prayed the salvation prayer, and therefore have His Holy Spirit living within them, become a Child of God. There is a big difference between the term “a Child of God” and being created by God, therefoe being a child of God. we were Ll created by Him, and therefore serve from God (as our creator), but the term “a Child of God” in the Holy Bible, refers to actually belonging to God. Before we come to God to ask Him into ours lives, we don’t belong to Him, but Satan (the devil), and are therefore heading for hell as a destination.

It is only when turn to God, and accept Jesus, we get His Holy Spirit, and are sealed, as His own (belonging to Him) for the day of redemption (when Jesus returns). Effectively it is like getting. A ticket to go to Heaven with your name on it, and without it you cannot go to Heaven.

There is no other way to Heaven, Jesus said, “I am the way…”, not A way, but THE way.

God is Holy (imagine God as being the light) and His throne room is in Heaven. We cannot enter Heaven because of our sins (imagine sins as being darkness). When you have a dark room and switch on the light, the darkness disappears, it cannot exist in the same place as light. The Holy Bible, speaks of this light and darkness, and so we cannot enter Heaven (the light), without first being ‘washed’ of our sins by accepting Jesus’ actions and turning to God (as mentioned above), because our darkness cannot go into the light of Heaven. But when you have become a Christian (as previously explained above), your darkness it taken away and you are made new, and become one with Christ when He lives inside of you as the Holy Spirit, it is therefore possible to enter Heaven, because you have His light, your darkness Jesus has taken away.

As I mentioned previously, you belong to Satan until you become ‘a Child of God’ (that is belonging to God).

Satan is evil, and so are the demons who help him with his evil deeds. Satan’s desire is to condemn those on earth to Hell, eternal punishment; whereas God wants as many as possible to come, through Christ, to Him to be saved from this, and therefore go to Heaven, eternal, beyond the imaginable, wonderfulness (without any sin there, illnesses, sadness or pain, etc; only Holy things).

When we are still Satan’s, we are controlled by own sinful desires, we are slaves to this sin. When we become a Child of God, we are freed from Satan’s hold on us, we are no longer slaves to sin, but instead slaves to righteousness and freedom.

In regards to your point of God causes bad things to happen in the world…He doesn’t. The world is controlled by Satan, ultimate control is God’s, but Satan is given some freedom by God. God wants people to turn to Him; ultimately that is what He wants. He knows what is at sake (your soul heading for Hell) and will do anything to get you to turn to Him and become His Child, and therefore be saved.

Because people are sinful, they behave in certain ways, and do bad things, and so bad things happen to others if they happen to be a the receiving end of this behaviour. God doesn’t make people do bad things, it is people’s sinful desires that makes people do these things, and Satan fuels this in our world. God does not cause people to behave in a certain way, because God won’t force anyone. With God it is all about free-will, and for the same reason God won’t force you to turn to Him or accept His son Jesus so that He can help you, and so that you can be saved. He wants you to be saved, but it has to be your choice. Forcing you to do something would be unholy, and God is hoy and therefore cannot go against His nature as a Holy ‘being’, our creator.

Thinking about the badness in the world, it is useful to think of things in the following way…(I have tried to explain this is VERY simple terms).
    God is the goodie,
Satan (and His demons) are the baddies,
The baddies do not like the goodies,
The baddies therefore try to rebel by trying to make people listen to them, and follow them in their thoughts and action, and not follow and listen to the goodies instead, they are trying to ‘get back at’ God,
The baddies do the bad things,
The goodie (God) does the good things,
So if bad things happen around you, assume it is Satan, and good things, assume that it is God.

You won’t understand what God wants you to understand, bless you are His and He has revealed it to you. But thinking in this way (above), it more accurate (although very simplified), that what the author of the post said. God does not cause people to hurt others, PEOPLE hurt each other.

God cannot change people’s actions and hearts if they are not willing to be changed (that would be going against their free-will), but if people come to God and talk to Him and express they want to change (the salvation prayer, or saying something very similar to this is a good way to begin a relationship with God). By coming to Him, He can help them. People need to open their hearts and minds to His truth; if people listen and live by His truth (that is the Holy Bible), then God will help to transform your life, and does things in your life that are beyond explanation. But ONLY if YOU are willing. You still have free-will when you become a Christian, God still want force you, but will work within you and your life, to help you grow. He may take you down paths you don’t understand, and things may even happen to you that aren’t pleasant, but God hasn’t made these happen, but He will not miss out of the opportunity to use these events and situations to help you in some way – He takes Satan’s negatives, and turns them into His positives. But ONLY if YOU are willing to be led and helped, and transformed, into who He (God) made to to be, the person who He knows you can be.

Just because people become Christians, it doesn’t mean they are human, they still mess up, but there are Christians who have decided to largely ‘do their own thing, they are not following god’s ways and not willing to be led by Him, and they resist being taught the truth by Him; these people probably aren’t as bothered about reading the Holy Bible, or praying; this the way that we get to know God personally, like in a normally relationship.

Many will deliberately sin, (Christians should not be deciding to deliberately sin, as they are separating themselves from God / impacting upon their relationship with God (this shows there is something wrong with their relationship with God – some Christians know the Bible (or parts of it) factually, they may even be able to quote parts of it, but they don’t have a relationship in their hearts with God – they know ‘OF Him’, they don’t ‘KNOW Him’ (there is a big difference) – we must as Christians get to KNOW Him, not OF Him.)

Therefore so many drift away from the right ways of God, as their natural sinful nature and the sins of the world pull them away. We can protect ourselves from this, as Christians, by reading the Bible and praying (talking) to God; this builds our relationship and understanding if God, and helps us to resist the evil of this world, and do things God’s way – in thought, word and actions; He transforms us. However, as evil is ever present and acting to try to change our ways, we must keep on reading God’s Bible, so we continue to walk in the right ways.

It says in the Bible, that all people, saved and unsaved, will have to stand before God on ‘that day’ (this is the day Jesus returns to separate us all into those going to heaven and those going to hell), and we will have to justify ourselves and our behave here on earth. This can help many people try to always do their best. God knows sometimes we will mess up and fail, He did not make us perfect, but He interested in our attitude and motives and our heart – are we doing things for the right reasons? are we well-meaning? (Remember God can tell the difference).

If we do mess up, we can repent, and turn to God for forgiveness, which God promises to give to all people if they are GENUINELY sorry and want turn away from their sins and want to do better (God knows what is in people’s hearts, so He know if someone is genuine or not), so you must genuinely have the desire to turn away from that behaviour permanently.

Therefore they don’t know very much about God and don’t get to know him personally; they go on there own perceptions of God, which are shaped by the sinful world in which surrounds them (so Satan’s evil untruths). Therefore these people aren’t the best representation of Christians and of who God is.

How can anyone get to know someone without actually putting in the effort to get to know someone?

As with anyone who you know on earth, the more you spend time with them, the more you get to know them personally as people. You are not going on simply what the person down the road said, or what the latest celebrity said; but you actually personally know yourself.

If you are a Christian (as explained above with the salvation prayer) and have experienced bad things in your life, and find it hard to understand and deal with. Don’t let it lose your faith in God, because although things may be very difficult for you to understand (some things are beyond human understanding). It is important that you acknowledge God didn’t make you suffer those things (it is the baddie – Satan and hIs demons), but instead that God wants to help you through them and turn those negatives (of Satan) into His positives.

Gd can take situations away and make them better (ask Him in faith), but Sometimes, we need to learn something to grow, and God sometimes wants us to learn to rely on Him more. Remember He should be your number one in your life, just as He commands, if He isn’t these bad times that you have suffered or are still suffering could be used by God for good to help your and His relationship. He always uses bad for good.

Remember, He cannot force you to do anything, but if you turn to Him in trust and walk in faith, and let God heal the emotional pain and lift the burdens that you carry, God will, if the time is right. The quicker we learn from experiences (which usually involves listening to Him and learning His ways (and doing them!) and building your relationship), the quicker God achieves the good He has desired from that bad thing, and the quicker that bad thing is no longer necessary in your life.

If you don’t know how to do anything that I have mentioned above, or don’t understand something I have said, speak to God and ask Him to do it for you. Remember you just have to ask in faith (believing He’ll tell you / help you), and be open / willing to be helped. If you are unwilling to hear the truth and unwilling to do things in anyway but your way, then God cannot work through you.

God’s truth is difficult to understand and accept for those who aren’t Christians and without also an open mind; but when you know the truth, you wonder how you didn’t believe and understand it in the first place; as it just seems so obvious, ‘how could I have not seen that before!’.

God is interested in your willingness to do the right thing by God, and what’s in your heart.

If you have questions, talk to Him and ask Him to show you the truth (and in that willingness you have to search for and know the truth, He will reveal Himself to you, so that you know enough to know becoming a Child of His (that is a Christian) is the right path to take. ‘Listen’ carefully, and He will reveal things to you, and show you the way to go. Satan also speaks to you, so be aware that He speaks bad things, but God cannot speak bad things; because He is holy and this would go against His own nature.

He will work with you, if you are open and willing to work with Him.

You need to be a Christian for Him to work with you and help you, BUT ANYONE is free to accept what Jesus did for them, and anyone can come to Him to be saved. You cannot be too imperfect. God meets you where and who you are now, no matter what your circumstances, no matter what you may have done, in the past, before reading this; it is just important to Him that you do turn to Him, and accept Jesus. He will always accept you into His family, and you will become a Child of God, and therefore can get that guarantee of the ticket to heaven if you ask Him to forgive your sins and ask Him to come into your life.

You can say a prayer like this: (commonly known as the ‘salvation prayer’), to become a Child of God: (this prayer is not in the Bible itself, but the elements of it, for instance that we must ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour are in there – the prayer just brings all the things we need to do and say to become a Christian into one prayer (as you read the bible and get to know it, you will find the scripture that relates to the prayer), and we are told that this is what we must do to become a Christian and thus saved.

You have to truly believe it and mean it in your heart when you say it (but you can say it again another time, if you don’t think you meant it or believed it enough). You don’t have to understand it all, and it is even ok to have questions, but you must accept and believe it, God will reveal His truth to you more, when He knows the time is right for you.

“Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.
I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Saviour today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.

    I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on;

I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour”

A SALVATION PRAYER (A LONGER, MORE IN DETAIL ONE – useful to know more about God and more about what He has actually done for you)
Father God, I come to You right now, in the name of your most Holy Son, Jesus Christ, asking You to accept me as a Christian.

You say in Your word that if I confess my sins and ask forgiveness, You are faithful and will forgive my sins and remember them no more. You will not hold them against me and You will give me everlasting life.

Father, I confess that I have sinned against You. I have not followed Your commandments and I have broken Your laws. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness.

Father, I believe that Jesus Christ, Your only Son, came to Earth and was born, that He lived among us, and that He was crucified on the cross to pay for all our sins and for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead and gave Him power over all creation.

Lord, right now I accept Your Son Jesus as my Saviour and as my Lord. Please send the Holy Spirit to come and live in me forever – to guide me, protect me, lead me and counsel me. Please help me protect myself from Satan and his evil spirits, demons.

Please help me to grow in wisdom, knowledge and love for You and Your ways. Give me the strength and courage to change my ways and resist the Devil and avoid sin in the future. Please teach me all I need to know.

Lord, I thank You for sending Your only Son to die so that I can now live.

Jesus, I thank You in that You died for me while I had not yet accepted You. I thank You for forgiving my sins and for bringing me to a saving knowledge of You. Please bless me and protect me. Teach me to pray. Guide me. Increase my faith, and convict me of Your truth.

Please help me to rely on You, no matter what may come my way. Lead me to a good church where I can learn Your word and the God’s Will for my life, and where I can fellowship with Christians and grow in my knowledge of You.

I ask these things in Jesus’ holy name, and I thank You for making me a Christian.

If you said it, and meant and believed it, God will have sent His Holy Spirit to come and live with you; and you are now a Child of God.

Feel free to add more of your own words if you wish to keep talking to Him.

Remember, it is important to read the bible daily, and pray about anything and everything (although this will probably take you some practice). God wants you to talk to Him – about things that worry you, make you fearful, excited, joyful, things that you are thankful for, any problems that are bothering you. Although problems and feelings feel real to us, when Jesus died He nailed to the cross not only our sins but all the unholy things (things that aren’t from God – the more you read the bible and get to know God the more you will know what is of God (God is better and more capable than you can imagine or comprehend), and what isn’t of God; and then your prayers can get better). Therefore, all these things you can ‘give’ to God, ‘commit’ them to Him. And let Him take care of them, and let Him take away the pain, worries, fear, etc).

It is important you get yourself a Holy Bible – a book or digital PC, iPad or smartphone version (website have them too – try, although you are likely to find that having the Bible as a proper book is useful, as you can highlight and underline the scripture (God’s Word – the words in the Bible), so you can find certain parts again.

There are different translations of the Bible, they have to say the same thing, except the language is different, some use more modern English, and others older English.
The ESV (English Standard Version), the NIV (New International Version) and the NLT (New Living Translation) translations are more literal, word for word translations to what the original Bible said. And if you enjoy Shakespeare-like language, the KJV (King James Version) or NKJV (New King James Version) you’d probably enjoy. The NKJV is slightly more modern language than the KJV. If you look on you can view different translations (if you change ‘Genesis’ grey box, to ‘Luke’, and then select one if the blue Bible translation options – NIV, NLT, ESV…etc to see the different translations, you should get a pretty good idea you prefer, and then you can buy the right one for you.

Getting a Bible with a concordance at the back is very useful as you can look up a word that interests you, for instance, “forgiveness” and it will tell you where in the Bible it mentions forgiveness; this can be so helpful. You can buy a concordance in a separate book if you prefer.

The Bible is a big book, and it is not designed to be read from the front to the back, or in one go. It is the book, the only source, where you will know what God says about pretty much anything. There is power in God’s words and these can be used in your prayers, and also these words have power and authority over the devil – if He is bothering you, and trying to get you to believe in lies, quote God’s word at Him, it reduces His power over you, and makes Him go away. He will try to cause trouble, but you have the victory over Him through what Jesus did. And words spoken in faith are powerful; and the devil has to obey.

As I said previously, we need to read the Bible as this builds our relationship with God and helps us to resist evil in our own actions, words, and thoughts. It is God’s desire to be in a relationship with us, and for us to get closer to Him.

A lot of the things in the bible will not make sense to you to begin with; there are a lot of terms and phrases in there that you won’t be familiar with; but over time God will reveal things to you. Your Job is to just keep reading the Bible daily, and be willing to learn and understand. You can of course ask God questions, and ask Him to be ‘receptive to His word’ (make sense of it), or ask Him to give you understanding.

In prayer, you can say anything to God, as long as you are respectful and polite. He wants you to learn and get to know Him. It doesn’t matter if you cry in front of Him, or don’t have the words some days to express what’s on your mind and the pain in your heart. He made you, and knows you, and knows what’s in your heart, and what you are thinking and what you are going to say before you even say it. So don’t worry, just approach Him – your commitment and willingness to work with Him, and to do the right thing is what’s important to Him – and He will work with you, if you work with Him. He created you, and you are precious to Him.

The following, from the Bible, is scripture that states some very important points:

You were created by a loving God. You have great value. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.
    Psalm 139:13-16
    John 17:3
    John 3:16

Your sin keeps you from having a personal relationship with God.
    James 4:17
    1 John 3:4
    Romans 3:23
    Roman 5:17
    Romans 6:23
    Isaiah 59:2

Only through Jesus Christ can you have a personal relationship with God.
    John 14:6
    1 Peter 3:18

You must personally respond by trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
    Romans 10:9-10
    John 1:12

If you got the the bottom of all this…”well done”…I didn’t set out to write so much, but thought it was VERY important that God’s truth was stated.

This isn’t the whole truth, the Bible is a big book and I couldn’t mention or explain it all here. But essentially, Satan is the baddie, so look to him for the reason for the bad things in the world, and God is the goodie, so acknowledge that He has your best interest in mind, and care about you, and only by getting to know Him, you will understand more.

Salvation is through God’s son Jesus

    In the Bible,
Under John 14:6, it says, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Under Acts 4:12, it says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Under John 10:9, it says, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. …”

You really know to complicate God’s salvation.

  166. Lydia - Mombasa, Kenya Says:

Thank you for sharing the Truth about God Almighty,God of Israel, who is enthroned between the Cherubim (ISAIAH 37:16) He alone is God over all the kingdoms of the earth…He is God of Peace (I COR 14:33) and not of disorder. It is our business, then, to only avoid all conflicts and fight for peace in all the corners of the earth. If you believe you are a child from God and Greater is He in us than the one in the world(1JOHN 4:4), then we are ordained and commissioned in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to always stand in for PEACE of GOD within the jurisdiction blessed us by our Creator. It is not our business to ask why,who or what but to just STAND IN FOR PEACE OF GOD. We can easily complicate perceptions and easily fall into the trap of the enemy, satan, to steal, kill and destroy. Lets focus in reaching out for the hopeless and faithless and let Jesus be in us all and enjoy this life to the fullest!!!(JOHN10:10)AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

Not everything’ is because god n all Christians don’t believe this only the ones who don’t completely understand, the majority of evil is caused by Satan & his demons, god gives us the option of free will & its up to us to turn it down or accept it, & Satan always has his hand out waiting for u to grab it & follow him

All you have to do is Read Is. 45:5,6,7. That will give you your Answer.

  170. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

You really know how to complicate God

  171. Pst Uzodimma Akwuebu Says:

You are on point. This is absolute truth, words of faith. we ve received a superior nature from our Lord Jesus Christ, greater than sin, sickness, Satan circumstances. Hallelujah….. act the faith people of God

  172. Imay Says:

I was in complete disappointment when I read this article, but became even more disappointed with the way you respond to many here. When you talked about “these are just verses, period” and when you said you chose only only verses that would prosper you, and if not, you neglect them, I was like: “ok, this person has to repent.” How can you preach yet neglect most of the verses supporting that God is sovereign? Heard about cherry-picking Christians?) He does does not cause evil but He allows it to happen for His greater purpose. Job’s story is a good example. We may not understand; in fact, we will never understand Him for He is beyond understanding (Job 36:26). What about Romans 8:28? God works ALL things for good for those who love Him. It says ALL things, not just good things. Good or bad, He will work it out for good. And the ultimate plan is to bring Him glory. You respond with your own logic but can’t support more verses like many do in this post. You always come back to the verse you shared above but is very limited to its context. Your reasoning sounds “smart” but it is poor. And yes, God allows you to post this so those who care about your soul could rebuke and correct you. As body of Christ, we are here to rebuke any false teachings that is not of Christ and correct them. I do not accept your teaching. How could I if you reject the whole Scripture?

  173. Pst Uzodimma Akwuebu Says:

Thanks for your comments and care for my soul, I appreciate that but understand that the bible advice us, God’s people not to argue to the point of confrontation because the new convenant has made us ministers of life. ( see 2 Timothy 2:24 and 2 Corinthians 3:6) . Your comment has offered me opportunity to expound. With premise built by your comment,
People go through things( challenges, battles, disappointments, natural disasters, weaknesses etc) in life but How do we know that mind of God in the mist of any circumstance: its by His word. Job’s lesson teaches us to trust God in the mist of life circumstances because our human knowledge is limited to sense and reasoning only and not by revelation, which is a higher form of knowledge. Job trusted God and indeed overcame. This is the Gospel: That there is hope for the sinner, weak, sick, poor, slaves; if they will trust in what Jesus has accomplished for them…. To trust is to believe and it means to have faith…… I wish I am speaking to the mature, the earnest seekers who are not moved by sight or feelings but the word of God is the final authority in their lives. When I said in my previous comment that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world, I mean that Holy spirit that we have received from God. This Holy Spirit gives us creative energy to speak things to being. Having him and being conscious of his tangible presence in our lives is exceeding great advantage. There are two sides of redemption: the legal( accomplished by Jesus Christ for us and the vital or real side which is the ministry of the Holy Ghost ,enforcing our rights, previlledges, inheritance, promises, based on what Christ has accomplished for us…Trusting God in his word in the mist of life circumstances honours God, and if you hold fast, victory is sure. victory could come in form of peace in a situation you don’t have control over.
if God could give us Jesus while were sinners, how much more now ……The gospel is for peace, hope, rest having in mind that God’s goodness leads us to repentance…… I leave you his presence

  174. Pst Uzodimma Akwuebu Says:

Mr Yeap , we are mindful of seducing spirit that mask their lust in their doctrine….. it could make people to depart from sound doctrine

Very well articulated the gospel made simple tat even a child could understand

  176. micstoy Says:

In my opinion, I believe that we need positive and negative in order for this entire world to stay on its axis. Yin and Yang, if you will. In the book of Genesis God forbade eating of the fruit from the tree of knowledge. In my opinion, God wanted to save humanity from the negative (satan) aspects of life. But as such, humanty did not listen. God is love and would never want anything to happen to us. God is I and I am he but God is greater than I. When I look in the mirror, I see God. I just wish this entire world would understand this truth.

  177. Deborah Ford Says:

    “twsander Says:

I agree with the above post, God is totally sovereign and in control of everything.
“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” Isaiah 45v7.
