God Has Given Earth To Man

12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,
13 he will bless those who fear the LORD—small and great alike.
14 May the LORD make you increase, both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to man.
Psalm 115:12-16(NIV)

I used to hate reading the Bible. I was so blinded by my previous religious church that each time I opened the Bible, I had voices telling me to go for missions and give money to the church. I hated that.

I am glad God has opened my eyes to see the truth in the Bible. Now, I love reading it because it is a gold mine, a source of infinite riches. The more I spend time with God, praying, meditating on his Word and confessing his promises the more hope and joy I receive.

The above verses show us the heart of God. God’s heart is always directed into blessing us, his people. He wants us to be rich, healthy and successful. In Verse 16, he tells us he gives us the earth – the entire planet. This means we are the true owners of this planet. We are entitled to all its riches. As christians, we are destined to live prosperous lives from now to eternity.

“If that is so, why are most riches in this world not controlled by christians?”

Answer: This imbalance is only temporary. It is the will of God for these riches to be transferred to believers.

22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.
Proverbs 13:22(NIV)

The above verse tells us that it is God’s intention for sinners to accumulate and work for wealth so that when the time come the wealth they have stored will be transferred to the righteous. In case someone may ask for the qualification to be righteous, here is the answer:

17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17 (KJV)

In the Bible, the terms “righteous”, “upright” and “just” are interchangeable. They have the same meaning. Therefore, as long as you have believed in Jesus Christ as your saviour, you are declared as righteous by faith. Being righteous gives you great privileges and among them the right to receive the wealth stored up by the sinners.

“How long will it take for me to receive my riches?”

Based on the developments on the world today, it won’t take very long.

19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
Romans 8:19-21 (NIV)

The entire universe, as we see it today is under the bondage of decay. The scientific term for this is “The Second Law Of Thermodynamics”. The situation around us is doomed to deteriorate day by day. The reason given in the above verses is, the sons of God (christians) have not been fully revealed. We have not been fully brought into the glorious freedom as God has given us. We have not fully received the prosperity that God has given to us through the Cross.

It is only when we the sons and daughters of God have fully receive the prosperity that is ours, the creation itself can be liberated from its bondage of decay and the situation can improve.

So, this tells me the darker the world has become, the nearer will be the Wealth Transfer. As the world gets darker, the church gets brighter. We get more glorious. The riches of the world are on their way into our hands. As we got rich, we will be in a better position to finance the preaching of the Gospel around the world. We will be in a better position to finance aids to the poor around the world. The world will become a better place when the children of God receive their prosperity.

I am looking forward for this. Are you?
