The Difference Between God And Devil

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (KJV)

Do you know the difference between God and the devil? I had spent about 10 years in a religious and anti-faith environment. None of those pastors or preachers there knew the difference. To them anything can be from God. This means God can infect you with disease, cause accidents, create disasters and perform any other perverted acts. After all he is God. He can do whatever he wants.

However, the above verse says the opposite. This verse gives us a clear line separating God and devil.

1. The devil came to steal, kill and destroy.
2. Jesus came to give us abundant life. Abundant means prosperity.

Whenever you see any signs of stealing, killing and destruction, it is from the devil. If you are suffering any of these symptoms, you must realize that you are under attack. Your responsibility is to fight back and take back what is yours.

In case there are still confusion on the devil’s work, here are a few examples:

Symptom: Someone died of cancer.
Analysis: This is killing and destruction.
Verdict: Works of the devil.

Symptom: Someone got killed in an accident.
Analysis: This is killing and destruction.
Verdict: Works of the devil.

Symptom: Business failed and became a bankrupt.
Analysis: This is destruction.
Verdict: Works of the devil.

Symptom: Someone has been laid off and has no income.
Analysis: This is stealing.
Verdict: Works of the devil.

Symptom: Your car is stolen.
Analysis: This is stealing.
Verdict: Works of the devil.

I hope the above examples are enough to highlight the works of the devil. Now let us go to the works of Jesus.

The verse says Jesus came to give us abundant life. Abundant life is not just enough. It is more than enough. It is prosperity. Let us go for some examples:

Symptom: You get a raise – increase in income.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: You get a huge bonus.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: Your property suddenly becomes a prime real estate and you house value increases by 10 fold.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: Your business receives huge orders.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: The sickness that you have been suffering is gone.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: Your marriage was facing the prospect of a divorce but you have reconciled with your spouse.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

Symptom: Your child has excelled in his studies.
Analysis: This is prosperity.
Verdict: Works of Jesus.

I hope the above should draw a clear line between Jesus and the devil.

  1. Leon Says:

Hello, how about blessings in disguise? ie, loss of a job opens up a greater opportunity to something greater? where in the short term things appear to be of ‘destruction and devil work’ etc, but in the long term they turn out to be of necessity to get you to the greater experience / blessing?

And if you are the one in charge of a company, and you have to fire someone because they are no longer required – is that the work of the devil via me? Or if I give that employee a raise instead is that the work of God? Many questions…. 🙂

  2. Yeap Chee Seng Says:

A blessing in disguise is still a blessing. I take those as well.

If I need to fire someone, I will do it. I will take full responsibility for it and I will never blame the devil.

If I want to give a raise, I will also take full responsibility.
